Baroness’ Update October 2018

October has been an outstanding month for the blog. I was able to read a lot of books, most Halloween reads and spotlight the truly incredibly talented and amazing, Carolyn Haines. I had such a wonderful time corresponding with her throughout the month.

On the personal side ~

We decorated for Halloween at our house. Okay, so we don’t do scary it’s more of fall mixed with a few witches and ghosts. After Halloween, all the witches and ghosts are replaced with more scarecrows and turkeys.

Here are a few pics of me finishing up our decorating.

I went to the library and got my library card. I know right? You would think that a book blogger should have a library card already. But we have a considerable amount of hardcover and paperback books, and our kindle library is vast. Those don’t even count the books that I receive for reviews. Anyway, off track.

The leaves are changing here. I love all the fall colors. I think fall is my favorite season. What about you, do you have a favorite season?

A little more about me

I baked these delicious chocolate nut drop cookies from the Spellbound Sweets book.

We had a family visit over the weekend. It was so much fun as Grayson is almost three. Three is such a great age, they understand, and their personality is really showing. Well, Grayson is adorable and such a good little boy. Of course, we all spoiled him rotten. Oh, ya, his mom, Breanna, his grandma Cristy and poppa Chad also were there. It was a delightful visit.

Our first snowWe even had the first snow of the season while they were here. Thank goodness it didn’t stay around.

It’s Christmas Movie time

Make sure you check the list of the Christmas Movies that will be on Hallmark’s Count Down to Christmas, Hallmark Movies and Mysteries’ Miracles at Christmas, Lifetime’s It’s a Wonderful Lifetime and those that are on Netflix.

I made a schedule for you to print out. It covers November and December. I know there are other networks with movies, and then there are the ones we watch every year, the classics, and there may be some on other streaming sites. However, these are the ones that I found, and I wanted to share them with you.

You can download the Christmas Movie List here.

Wrapping up October

For the most part, this month was quiet, and I didn’t do anything that warrants special attention. Although, I have been meeting my exercise goals and most of my reading goals. I am doing better at being more positive.

I spent Halloween night watching movies from my Favorite Halloween Movies post. Although none of the scary ones, just some cute nostalgic shows. But mostly I have been reading and spending time with family. Everything has been pretty average. How about you?

Coming in November

I have a bunch of Thanksgiving-themed books for all of you. Look for the #thankfulbaroness on Instagram and Twitter.

I will be reading books set around Thanksgiving. Some of these books are romances; one is an anthology with 13 short stories that I will be reviewing separately. Then I have a cozy mystery with a recipe that I will be baking for everyone. #bookishrecipes  I also have a few blog tour/requested books, which I am so grateful for these opportunities.

After the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, I will start reading some Christmas books.

The featured author for November is Cari Lynn Webb. My interview with her was posted yesterday. Check it out here. Don’t forget the giveaway (the link is above).

November Reading List

November 2018 TBR

I am super excited to be part of the Cordial Killing Blog Tour. So, stop by on the 8th to see all the great things going on with the Blog Tour.

I know my list is crazy, but I already have three done, and a lot of these are short shorties or novellas. I am confident that I can do complete these books. Look at these books, most of them are Thanksgiving stories. I have already finished a few of them, so I know this will be easy.

Remember, if you follow me on Twitter and/or Instagram look for the #thankfulbaroness.

What are you reading this month?

Thanks for stopping by. I hope your October wasn’t too spooky and that your Halloween filled with treats. I am enjoying November and looking forward to Thanksgiving. Love some Turkey Day.
