Love, of Course a Hallmark Fall Harvest Movie 2018

Hallmark Fall Harvest

With my love of autumn, romance and happy endings I will be watching all of the Hallmark Channel’s Fall Harvest Movies this year, then sharing my thoughts with all of you.

My disclaimer:           I like the fun, romantic movies that play on Hallmark. Therefore my reviews will probably have a very positive look at each of the films.

If you would like to see a list of the Movies and their first air dates, I have listed them below.

Love of Course Love, of Course

Directed by:  Lee Friedlander
Writer: Tracy Andreen, Lee Friedlander, and Jana King
Cast:  Kelly Rutherford, Cameron Mathison, Mackenzie Vega, and Gabby Douglas.
Network:  Hallmark Channel
Air Date: October 20, 2018

After driving her daughter to college in Oregon, Amy must return to Los Angeles and face an empty nest alone. But luckily the Director of Administration offers Amy a six-week job planning the Harvest Festival. Attendance has waned because Noah, the professor in charge, has put the emphasis on “Harvest” and not on “Festival.” While Amy shows Noah fun things like pumpkin bowling, he teaches her the art of apple picking, and sparks between them begin to fly. It could be perfect timing for these lovebirds when Amy’s job becomes permanent, if only Noah wasn’t considering a professorship in Australia.

I love the second chance romances, and this one took the pumpkin sugar cookie. The chemistry between the stars was a hit. I always seem to get invested in the characters and forget that the actors portraying them aren’t really them. Yet, I think that is the reason for the cinema. Which makes me feel better. I love curling up on the couch to watch these cozy fall themed romances.

Kelly Rutherford is in Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, television series. Cameron Mathison which I know the best from The Murder She Bakes Mysteries, my mom always says All My Children. We all know he hasn’t been on there in a while. I did see that he will be on a television series called Manopause, sounds interesting. I so remember Mackenzie Vega as she played Grace Florrick on The Good Wife.

The storyline was realistic; I can see this happening in real life. I am not sure if I would want my mom to work at my college, but it seemed to work out

well for Cara and Amy. Cara’s roommate Maddie was cool. The fact that her grandpa has an apple orchard is so neat. Wow, could Amy bake? She was always whipping up some impressive looking baked good.

Moms can do two things at once. It’s our superpower. ~Amy says to Noah

That’s my favorite quote. It reminds me of my mom.

Some of my favorite things in the movie:
  • Pumpkin bowling
  • Marco/Polo
  • Tumbleweed
  • The corn maze
  • Noah running out of gas
  • Chicken soup – special delivery
  • hard cider bar
There were some things that were wierd:

  • Amy unpacked boxes that she brought from Los Angeles in her temporary house?
  • How was Amy able to bake these delicious looking treats before she really had a place to stay?
  • How did Amy not know that Cara was taking some agriculture classes with Noah when she seemed to know everything else?

A special feature was Chloe Caroline. I thought she was great. Chloe grew up on the California coast, and she has a great voice.

You should check out her website when you have time. Or you could just watch the movie.

Five Stars for Love, of Course.

This film is a fabulous fall harvest movie. My stepdad said this was the best of the movies in this year’s Hallmark Fall Harvest Movies. Shh, don’t tell anyone I told you though.

    • Hi,
You can watch the movie on the Hallmark Channel on Jan 31th, or try their streaming app Hallmark Movies Now. I don’t know where you can buy it. Oh, also check Youtube.

I taped this last fall and then didn’t get a chance to watch it! Rather than watch out of season I saved it and just watched it today. What a treat! I have to agree with your review. Pretty awesome! and Chloe Caroline was amazing. I normally don’t think much of the music background in the movies but she is great!

Loved Love, Of Course! I’m sure they cut some important parts out! I have watched it many, many times when possible!! It’s one of my favorite rom-coms!! But I just noticed that the Corn Maze was on the Harvest flyers before it was even arguably mentioned between Amy and Noah??? Cut wrong?? But still a believable film!!
