Reading Challenges are so much fun. I love the feeling of completing one of these challenges or even surpassing it. Last year I didn’t do as well as I would have liked but, I am not letting that stop me.

I have cut my list down this year. I am trying to streamline a bit. Let’s see what I signed up for.

Welcome to the 2022 Beachcomber Mystery Reading Challenge! Your goal is to become a Beachcomber by filling the set of four beach bags (23 items per bag, 92 items total) as you read mysteries!

All four beach bags now use the find-the-letter-of-the-alphabet system.
You can use ANY letter in the word, not just the first letter. You can use Knife for F.
Crime Scenes can be “regional” – from a specific room to a street to a city to a state.

Cozy mysteries, also referred to simply as “cozies,” are a sub-genre of crime fiction mysteries in which sex and violence are downplayed or treated humorously, and the crime and detection take place in a small, socially intimate community. The crime-solver is an amateur sleuth, usually but not always a woman, who is thrust into the aftermath of the murder. The protagonist frequently has an occupation or hobby that brings appealing information to the reader.

The challenge runs from January 1st, 2022, and ends on December 31st, 2022.
