Will Mae figure out who actually killed Yaley Woodard?
What I like:
- Mae and the gang are wanting to solve this case to save Joel Grassel and Mae’s campground from being closed off for too long.
- Mae’s concern for Dottie is very touching.
- The way Mae gets all of her information for the cases that she and the Laundry Club gals helped solve.
- The murder board that the girls use. Instead of the notebook, they were using the whiteboard that Mae and Dottie use for other things than solving a murder.
- Hank and Mae’s relationship is adorable and sweet.
The Mystery
The mystery in this book is figuring out who could have killed Yaley Woodard besides Joel Grassel. They uncover a lot of suspects who are the red herrings. I have to admit I did fall for the red herrings again. Okay, I admit I always fall for them, but the real one was right under their noses the entire time. That will be the only clue that I will give you about it. Mae uncovered a lot about Yaley even though everyone said that everyone pretty much liked her. Guess not everyone as someone killed her. A lot happens because of this mystery, and I’m not going to spoil it.
Four Stars
Tents, Trails, and Turmoil by Tonya Kappes was another great book by Ms. Kappes. She has done a brilliant job of weaving together a great mystery while keeping all the southern charm that you expect from one of her books. I am giving this book four stars and recommending it to anyone that likes cozy southern mysteries.
