Bubble... Bubble...

June Heal is excited to be going on an island honeymoon where she not only will she get away for some much needed rest away from her magical powers that she'd promised Oscar she'd leave home, but where she will get away from her sassy talking crystal ball, Madame Torres, and her pesky familiar, Mr. Prince Charming.

Cures and trouble...
The secluded island is a perfect getaway for the charming honeymooners, especially since the only other vacationers are a wedding group. June Love's a good romantic wedding and this one is on the beach.

Magic stirs...
June is embracing her old mortal self until the groom from the wedding party washes up on the beach ...MURDERED!

And troubles double...
June is unable to keep her promise to Oscar about not using magic for their weekend island getaway and finds herself square in the middle of the investigation.

Suddenly, June wishes that her pesky familiars were there to help and realizes that there really is no place like home.

A Charming Hex by Tonya Kappes made me feel bad for June and Oscar. They can’t even go on a honeymoon without finding a dead body.

Will Oscar and June have a relaxing honeymoon on the beach or be sucked into another mystery?

June Heal Park

June Heal Park and Oscar Park are finally going on their honeymoon. It just took them another few months to be able to do this, but it’s finally here. They are both super excited to be able to go off somewhere else to be alone and have some fun. Well, they are off to a rocky start when June has a nightmare and is having a hard time with actually leaving the area that they have called home for the past two years. Anyways, June tries her hardest to stay out of the investigation once it gets started, but she just can’t. It seems that being a sleuth is now part of who she is. I still like June as a character and that she is getting used to the idea that she is a spiritualist. She seems to grow into the person she was always meant to be.

A Charming Hex CRThe Mystery

June and Oscar end up getting involved in the investigation. I had no clue about who did it and why. My mind couldn’t figure out why anyone would kill the guy. June had the help of Oscar and her familiars to solve the case. Well, really, Oscar is the one investigating, not June. I didn’t see who did and why they did it until it was all laid out for me. Leave it to the council to send June to do their bidding even on their honeymoon.

Five Stars

A Charming Hex by Tonya Kappes is an excellent book that will keep you guessing. Honestly, I feel so bad that June couldn’t have at least her honeymoon with no dead bodies. However, Ms. Kppes does a fantastic job of setting the scene for June to have to figure out why they died.

I am giving A Charming Hex by Tonya Kappes five stars and recommending it to anyone that wants to read a great summertime cozy paranormal mystery book.
