She never met a man in uniform she didn't like…except one.

Two years ago, hotshot firefighter Eric Langley swept restaurant owner Maggie James off her feet. And promptly broke her heart when he told her he never wanted to have children. She's done her best to move on. But when circumstances force them together again, Maggie can't help thinking about what might have been…

Nothing frightens Eric Langley except spending time with the one woman he's never been able to forget. Still, working with her to create a Thanksgiving banquet for foster kids is more rewarding than he imagined. He's fought thousand-acre fires, battled deadly smoke and flames, yet his greatest challenge will be resisting Maggie and the white-picket-fence life she'd offered him once upon a time.

Will Eric overcome his fear?

Thankful for You by Karen Rock is a marvelous book. This book had me rooting for both the hero and heroine yet there are times I thought the hero needed to be slapped.

In this book, Eric Langley is a firefighter and a he is a good one at that. Maggie James is a co-owner of a restaurant and wants a family one day.

Eric Langley

What I like about Eric is that he is a good firefighter, charismatic, and is excellent with kids. He doesn’t want kids of his own. What I don’t like about Eric is that he has a great fear from when he younger that he can’t let go of. Eric is a major idiot about love, and when it comes to Maggie.

Maggie James

What I like about Maggie is that she loves to cook. She is adaptable, so she is able to handle being with Eric and the stress that comes with his profession. I adore that she loves being with kids and is great with them. The one thing that I don’t like about Maggie is that she is so stubborn, and won’t talk to Eric when he is an idiot.

Five Stars

Thankful for You by Karen Rock was a great book and something that I would like to read in a full length book. I really enjoyed this story.

I am giving this book five stars and recommending it to anyone that loves romances.
