Hop aboard with Minnie Wells, Bath's most charming witch, as she and her vampire boyfriend, along with their butler buddies, set out on a vintage train decked out for the holidays.
They're all set for a cozy winter ride, filled with steaming mugs of tea and good ol' tales. But just as things are heating up, the yuletide cheer takes an icy turn—a passenger turns up dead under the mistletoe. To stir the pot even more, the train's got an unexpected passenger– a vengeful vampire with vendettas older than the snowy landscapes scrolling past the windows. And he'll stop at nothing to get what he wants.
With a pinch of psychic insight, a sprinkle of spells, and the purrfect sidekick—a chatty cat—Minnie dives into solving this holiday whodunit. But with danger brewing, she's going to need more than a good tea blend to keep her safe.
Will Minnie serve up some justice, or will this ride be her last stop?
Scrying Over Spelled Milk is a delightful novella that comes right after Tea Die For (book 9) in the fan-favorite Magical Tea Room Mysteries series. All aboard for a bewitching, cozy whodunnit that'll keep you guessing till the last drop!
*Grab your mug—there's a mystery afoot. But careful, it might spill a few series spoilers!
Scrying Over Spelled Milk by Erin Johnson is a magical train ride to share Christmas cheer…and to capture a vampire.
Will Minnie catch the killer and the vampire?
Minnie Wells
Minnie Wells is helping out the supernatural community of Bath by having a Christmas tea on a train for a whole bunch of supernaturals. She is so much happier than the young lady that we were greeted with at the beginning of the series, and I love the confident young woman she has become. Minnie has made a lot of improvement, and her magic is advancing. I think Minnie is an excellent main character and has become a better person since moving back to Bath.
The Mystery
Minnie Wells directed a passenger to where the bathrooms were just to find a dead body in the way. Luckily, Minnie is there to solve the case along with two of the supernatural police force. I didn’t think it was who it turned out to be. Ms. Johnson did a great job of misdirecting those hints.
Five Stars
I am giving five stars to Scrying Over Spelled Milk by Erin Johnson and only recommending it to people who have at least read Tea Die For, as this little Christmas novella is not spoiler-free. Ms. Johnson has done a magnificent job writing this series so far, and I can’t wait to see what else is in store for Minnie, Fitz, Gus, and her tea room butler buddies.
