Is Bunny staying or moving on?

Wool Over My Eyes by Violet Patton is a funny adventure with mystery, romance, and lots of drama. This book isn’t your normal cozy mystery and Bunny the “sleuth” is far from normal.

Hunny Bunny

Bunny is trying to conform to the Oasis rules and being part of a group. However, this isn’t something that she has done much. Bunny has been sort of a loner except for her husband. In this story, she has her group of friends, but she still isn’t happy.

I think she is on her way to being happy. If Bunny will just be honest with herself and listen to Wanda, she may find that happiness in the Oasis that Phil, her husband was looking for when he moved them there.

The Mystery

Ok, so Bunny isn’t a sleuth, she is just curious…yes, that is the word I will use. Bunny doesn’t go out looking for clues; she just asks the questions that everyone else is asking. It’s like she has lost her filter.

The mystery isn’t your typical cozy mystery, but it was refreshing, and the clues were there when I think back. I didn’t figure it out because I was too wrapped up in Bunny’s drama and Wanda.

4 Stars for Wool Over my Eyes by Violet Patton

My rating for Wool Over My Eyes by Violet Winters is four stars. The story was good. I love that Bunny talks to herself and that she has made some good friends. The characters are so crazy and yet real. They make me think that being old won’t be bad. Well, other than the obvious old-age pains.

So, if you are looking for a different type of cozy mystery with a touch of paranormal, then you should read this series. It is pretty good.

About Violet Patton

Violet Patten

I grew up in Arkansas, just a few miles from Louisiana. Violet Patton was a grandmother. I took her name as a pen name in her honor. She didn’t read much and when she did it was True Confessions magazine. She married a man twice her age at 18 and she did not have romance in her life, but she longed for it. She was tough, picking cotton, milking cows and tending a garden to keep her family alive. Behind her toughness was a sweet tenderness which showed through her beautiful blue eyes. Now as I age, I miss her more and more. Her photograph graces my desk, and I often ask for her advice or read my stories aloud to her. I can hear her laugh as I read my stories and I remember that spirit she never lost despite her adversities.

Thank you for giving me everything you had.
