Amelia Moore, the founder of the Moore Detective Agency, specializes in missing persons. Along with her partner, Rick Bonito, they are sometimes put in dangerous situations as they travel to the haunted Stanley Hotel at Estes Park in Colorado and Color Country in Southern Utah, where they visit Zion National Park. Volume 2 includes two cozy mysteries.

Pauline Jones is confused why her boyfriend took off without telling a soul where he was going. But that isn’t all. Sam Whitaker is accused of stealing a valuable porcelain doll from the museum. His disappearance makes him look guilty, but Pauline is convinced he is innocent. When Amelia finds Sam, she realizes they need to prove his innocence. Where is the antique doll and who has taken it?
The Mysterious Doll by Linda Weaver Clarke is a nicely crafted story and takes place in their town of La Rosa, Arizona. I like how Ms. Clarke takes inspiration for writing from what happens in her life with her family.
Can Amelia and Rick prove that Sam is innocent?
The lovebirds are off with a new mystery of trying to find a missing person that is apart of a stolen doll case. Amelia has no clue what to think about this entire thing, but she has a feeling that the guy might be innocent while Rick wants to try to help with anything that he can. She is still working on her bucket list and now knows how to shoot a gun while not being too afraid. Rick helped her like always. These two, as a couple, are still growing and taking things slow. Not much has changed with them.
The Case
The case in this one is hand-in-hand with a police investigation of a missing doll. As for the doll, the police suspected Sam, the missing person, to have stolen it. Amelia got hired by Sam’s girlfriend to find him and bring him home. Along with proving that he didn’t steal the doll. I had my suspicions on who stole the doll but what really happened was something that I wasn’t excepting. Between the figuring out about the doll and Sam, Amelia and Rick have their hands full with this case.
4 Stars
The Mysterious Doll by Linda Weaver Clarke is a nice read while trying to solve the case, along with Amelia and Rick. I like these two love birds. They solve their cases while also checking things off their bucket lists at the same time. I am giving this four stars and recommending it to anyone that wants to play at being a private investigator with our two main characters.

Julie Anderson feels a need to find the man she fell deeply in love with during her youth. When Julie went off to college to become a lawyer, she lost contact with her high school sweetheart. She now wants to know what became of Joey and why he stopped writing to her? This is an assignment that intrigues Amelia. The thought of finding a long-lost love seems quite romantic.
Her Lost Love by Linda Weaver Clarke is another wonderfully crafted case for these two private investigators.
Can Amelia and Rick find out what happened to Joe?
Well, these two lovebirds start this case right after the end of the last one. I have to say that this one was interesting. Once again, though, I kind of guessed, as I did in the last one, about what happened to Joe that made him not write any more letters to his childhood friend and sweetheart. I am quite happy with how my hunch proved to be correct. These two haven’t been dating long, but a lot happens to their relationship.
The Case
This case is all about a high powered attorney wanting to find out what happened to her first love so that she can decide if marrying the former Senator of Arizona is the greatest thing for her to do. Apparently, it might not be. These two did a lot of searching and researching for this case. I loved the dinosaur bits when they went to talk to one of Joe’s old college roommates.
4 Stars
Her Lost Love by Linda Weaver Clarke is a great book that has had many ups and downs in solving this case. I loved specific points of this novel and certain other ones, not so much. I definitely learned a lot, though. This book deserves four stars, and I am recommending it to anyone that likes missing person cases.
