Plot Summary:
When photographer Allie Adams discovers the body of an actress backstage before the curtain rises on playwright Neil Khan’s newest murder mystery stage production, she unofficially “assists” Willow Haven P.D. Detective Sam Acosta with his investigation and becomes targeted for murder when she gets too close to the truth.

My Thoughts:
Allie and Sam are back with another mystery to solve. Allie is still a good sleuth, and I love how she is a photographer. Sam is a great detective that they are working on building a great friendship. I love stories where it’s working on people building a friendship first before doing a romantic relationship. Allie’s employees/friends from her photograph are the perfect assistants for her sleuthing, too, when she needs someone to help her. Especially when Noah needs to remind Allie about her actual business before she is sucked into investigating another mystery.
Alexa and Carlos PenaVega are awesome actors that are cute together in this movie. These two have great chemistry, which I would hope since they are married.
I love the sets for these movies, as they are awesome. Allie’s new mid-century home is very nice. Sam’s house is great, and I love what he is doing to it. Well, when he can, that is. The mystery for this movie totally got me as I kept on bouncing back and forth through the red herrings. The actual culprit got me as I never saw it coming, and I was surprised.
This is the best movie in the series so far. I am so glad that I gave it another shot.
