Plot Summary:

Fifteen years after her fiancé’s murder, Hailey Dean works with her fiancé’s brother Detective Danny Morgan, Detective Fincher and college friend Clyde to finally solve the cold case. When she realizes that she may have been the murderer’s target, and that there is another missing person tied to her fiancé’s murder, several of her former college classmates fall under suspicion. In hopes of solving both mysteries, Hailey follows the missing person case, revealing a high stakes real estate scandal and years of cover-ups. Even when Hailey’s investigation puts her life in danger, she will stop at nothing to pursue justice.

My Thoughts:

I have two favorite characters in this film, and they are Fincher Garland and Detective Danny Morgan.

Fincher Garland, because in every new movie in this series, he has gotten funnier and who can resist a man that is a major foodie and an investigator for the DA office. He is always a good friend for Hailey and helping her out of any situation she puts herself into. Including trying to find out who killed Will. Danny Morgan is another one because he is a good friend for Hailey as well. Even though he is a police detective that lets her help with cases, Danny is also Will’s younger brother. This gives him as much of a right to figure out who killed him as Hailey.

Will’s death has shaped Hailey and Danny into the people that they are today, and it’s pretty great to see.

The one thing that I always look forward to watching in these movies is how Nancy Grace, the author of the books, will make her appearance. In this one, it was two times but still both exciting times.

This mystery was an in-depth one that had two cold cases that Hailey had to figure out with Fincher, Jonas, Danny, and Monty’s help. I am glad that they caught the person that did this as it will help Hailey and Danny move forward even more.
