My Rating:
My Thoughts:
Wow, this movie had a lot of twists and turns, but I loved it! Everything about this movie was great. The casting, the chemistry, the sets, and we learn a bit more of the backstory of Travis Burke. I loved it all.
Amy Winslow’s uncle goes missing, so she, Travis, and her dad go to Ithaca, New York, to figure out what’s happening. We learn more about Amy’s father’s history, especially how her uncle is a lot younger than her dad. Jill Wagner as Amy Winslow is a delight. I love how she interacts with everyone, especially those concerning her uncle’s disappearance.
Travis Burke is still great from the first movie to now. I like everything about him, and we keep learning more about him and Amy throughout the movies. We think we know them, but we are thrown a curveball and learn about something else in their lives. I like that he trusts Amy to tell her about things in his life that happened before they met.
Kristoffer Polaha and Jill Wagner have the best chemistry that I have seen in any Hallmark movies. I like how they bring their characters to life, especially how Travis is interested in Amy’s family life.
The mystery is so good that I was having a bit of a hard time distinguishing who was a red herring and who wasn’t. When a movie or story does that, then it is written extremely well and acted well. I had a feeling about a certain character, though, and I’m glad to have been right. However, this one keeps us guessing.
My stepdad even had a hard time figuring it out, but eventually, he did before it was shown on screen. He was stumped for a bit, though, which is great to see him at a loss, too—fantastic job to the writers.
Oh, and that little preview of the next one. OMG! What happened? I so can’t wait.
I am giving it five stars as it is worthy of so many more. If you haven’t seen it, watch it, it won’t disappoint.
