My Rating:

five-stars

My Thoughts:

Travis and Amy are trying to date each other in this movie, but it isn’t really working all that well. These two are so cute together, and I can’t wait to see more of them as a couple in future movies.

Kristoffer Polaha is great as Detective Travis Burke, and I love how he has grown from the first movie to this latest installment. I also love how concerned he about Amy in all of these movies.

Jill Wagner is perfect as Professor Amy Winslow, and I like how different having a literature professor who specializes in crime fiction is from a regular police consultant. She and Kristoffer are cute together, and I loved their chemistry from the first movie and how it has grown since then. Well, for their characters, and you can tell that off-screen, these two are friends.

It’s sad to say that we might not see Sarah Dugdale as Detective Claire Tate in any more Mystery 101 movies as her character is living in Hawaii now and accepted a job offer there. I will miss her scenes with Preston Vanderslice as Bud. Speaking of Bud, he wasn’t in the movie a whole lot, but in the scenes he was in, they were funny. Since Claire is gone, Maria Valdez steps in to be Travis’s partner on the police force.

We got a new character in this one. Erin Cahill plays Special Agent Kate Coulson. Now I can’t say much about her, but she is a great character, and you should watch the movie to see her with Travis Burke. Awesome scenes. I also hope that they do something with her character. Like a spin-off with her own series in Chicago? Hallmark, if you are reading this…HINT!

My stepdad loves this series and couldn’t wait to see it when we all saw the preview for it in January. He kept asking if the teacher mystery was on yet. He totally enjoyed the film. I highly recommend this mystery series. Great job to all involved.

I, too, wonder what happened to Claire? Why did they have her character move away? Did Sarah Dugdale have other commitments?
