Twelve days before Christmas, the forecast is calling for snow with a hundred percent chance of love as the owner of the Seaside Bookshop risks everything, including her heart.
Christmas returns to Bluestar Island in this heartwarming page-turner. While the small town’s holiday calendar is filled with festive events, the friendships of Bluestar’s residents are put to the test. Melinda Coleman, owner of the Seaside Bookshop, finds herself making a deal with the town curmudgeon that could cost her everything. While furniture maker Liam Turner is suddenly a full-time single father, he’s in over his head with an active three-year-old. It will take these two friends helping each other to keep their lives from imploding, and in the process, they find the most precious gift of all—love.
Includes a holiday recipe for Santa’s Mitten cookies!
A Seaside Bookshop Christmas by Jennifer Faye is a sweet Christmas romance complete with the town Scrooge.
Will Melinda and Liam figure out their hearts and the true meaning of Christmas?
Melinda Coleman
Mel owns the Seaside Bookshop, and she is really into community and Christmas. She has taken it upon herself to get the medical center upgraded to a small hospital. Since her dad’s heart attack and the medical center not being equipped to handle the incident, she doesn’t want anyone else to have to go through that. There are two things that I adore about Mel: first, she is highly honorable, and second, she has compassion and belief in her community to the point that they all think she is going crazy. Some would say that, but she ultimately believes in helping her neighbors.
Liam Turner
He has a young son, Tate, who recently lost his mom, and Liam is still trying to figure out how to make daily life happen. Liam quit his job as a paramedic to do carpentry. He makes furniture and restores things for hire now. Liam is working for the island grouch. It is hard work, but Liam finds it satisfying. I like Liam, but he was blind to what was happening around him.
Christmas and Romance
The town of Bluestar goes all out for the holidays. They have things going on most evenings, from caroling to bingo to sledding and ice skating. What a fun town it would be to live in. The community is pretty tight. Melinda and Liam hit just the right mix. Watch for the mistletoe. I hope your holiday turns out as well as theirs. It is such a feel-good romance. I love it.
