A little mix-up…

Could make her Christmas wonderful!

Natalie Weiss is mortified. After mistaking handsome Tanner Rockford for his cousin, she’s followed him to rural Alaska. Now she’s stranded—until Tanner invites her to spend Christmas with his family in their rustic, cozy cabin. But in this idyllic winter wonderland, Natalie discovers the family she’s never had…and the love she never knew she needed. But what happens when they all discover why she’s really there?

An Alaskan Family Christmas by Beth Carpenter is sweet, endearing, with a family that enjoys being with each other.

Will Natalie and Tanner find Dane in time?

Natalie Weiss

Natalie’s life hasn’t been easy, but she is finally at the place that she has always wanted. It took her longer than it should have, but she is close to having her dreams come true. Yet, she can’t leave until she knows that Brooke is ok and to do that, she has to find Dane.

I like that Natalie is independent, loyal, smart, and wants to carry her own weight. She has a plan, and even though everything that has happened to her, she is executing her plan. Natalie is very courageous.

Tanner Rockford

Tanner is the knight in shiny armor on the white stead saving the damsel. But is that what he really wants? When Natalie traps herself in no-where Alaska, Tanner jumps to her rescue even though he isn’t happy about the situation. The two of them connect over sled rides, walks, scrabble games, and Christmas. The two of them are good together, but with Natalie moving out of Alaska, will it work?

I like that Tanner is the responsible guy, the ones that spoil his nieces, takes care of his mom and sister. He is generous with his time and finances. However, Tanner doesn’t really listen when his loved ones tell him how they feel. Yet, I feel that with a little help, he will figure this out.

An Alaskan Family Christmas CRDane and Brooke

These two are so cute and in love. Dane is on a mission for him and Brooke. However, Dane doesn’t have a cellphone for Brooke to contact him. He has been gone longer than he expected, and Brooke finds out that she is expecting. Will there be a HEA for both these couples?

Here is a quote from the book:

Brooke rolled her eyes. “You’re so suspicious. If you were Cinderella, you’d never make it to the ball because you’d be too busy to figure out the fairy godmother’s angle.”

Natalie laughed. “Don’t you know you’re my fairy godmother?”

Five Stars

I have read a few of the books in this series, and I love them. My favorite part about this one was Christmas at the remote cabin, with no utilities. Oh, how lovely it sounded from the home-made ornaments to northern lights and sledding with Vitus. Ms. Carpenter has such a fantastic way of transporting you into her worlds, with humor, memorable characters, and the most stunning scenery. My rating for An Alaskan Family Christmas by Beth Carpenter is five stars as the writing is wonderful, and the story is lovely.

A funny moment in the story:

Vitus spit out the rope and opened his mouth in a doggy grin. “Yes, very funny,” Tanner told the dog. “But no more sled-jacking. Got it?”

About Beth Carpenter

Beth Carpenter

Once Upon a Time…

when Beth Carpenter was a little girl, she read everything she could get her hands on, and entertained herself on the school bus by making up stories in her head. Not a lot has changed. She’s still consuming books like M&Ms, and spends her days creating happily-ever-afters for her imaginary friends.

She lives in Alaska and Arizona with her husband and an aggressively affectionate fifty-pound lap dog. She loves to hear from readers. You can email her here.
