My Rating:
My Thoughts:
To Catch a Spy is the first movie in a maybe franchise that I absolutely adored. Going to Malta with the characters is a nice experience without leaving your own home and dealing with jetlag. The mystery is superbly planned out. I loved it.
Colin Donnell and Nathalie Kelley play the two main leads Aaron Maxwell and Chloe Day. It’s an interesting dynamic with an FBI agent having to deal with a travel writer thinking of herself as an amateur detective.
The two of them did have some chemistry there but most of it was coming from Mr. Donnell. I have no clue, though, on how they will keep this series going with other mysteries or if that is even the plan. Speaking of the mystery this one was interesting and had a lovely twist.
I loved trying to figure it out with the actors and failing miserably at it. Well, until it became obvious who it was. The mystery is basically trying to figure out who would kill Chloe’s college friend. How could they clean up the crime scene so fast and get the body out of the way where no one would find it?
I love the scenes around Malta. The sets are magnificent, and the scenery of Malta is so beautiful.
If you haven’t seen it, I highly recommend it.
