Set in a world of danger, deception and impossible choices, Cal Bannon’s adventures will grip you utterly. Because when the stakes are this high, whose lives do you gamble?
The Skyman’s Legacy by Pete Kramer is a two-part book that takes an unexpected turn.
Can Cal save Mag?
Cal Bannon is one of our heroes in this steampunk fantasy adventure. He works for the government, known as the Confederation, in the Special Section of their skyfleet. I was honestly intrigued by the whole thing. Except that as I was getting further into the story, I was a bit confused about the entire storyline. Cal has been in love with Margo for a long time, a fact that many of their service members have noticed, including the ones who barely see them interact.
Margo, a doctor, is a good partner for Cal when he goes on his missions. Well, until the last one that made the two of them go their separate ways. We don’t see much of Margo or the other characters, so it’s hard to get a good feel for them.
The story started okay, but it got very confusing. I felt as though I had lost something, but it could just be me.
Three Stars
My rating for The Skyman’s Legacy by Pete Kramer is three stars. I’m sure it will have a better audience than me, but I found the story okay. Mr. Kramer has a vivid imagination, which is good for an author.
