My Rating:
My Thoughts:
Rome in Love is a charming movie that takes two unlikely people in Rome who fall in love. I like everything from the two main leads to the story that they were telling.
Italia Ricci plays Amelia Tate a twenty-six coffee barista and amateur actress. She is talked into sending in an audition video to star in a movie that will be filmed in Rome. Along the way she meets Peter Porte’s character Philip, who is a writer but also does side jobs until he finishes his novel. One of his side jobs is at a magazine and through this assignment do these two fall in love. It is an adorable movie. I believed the chemistry between Italia’s character and Peter’s character. I especially enjoyed the small things like spending time together that makes the falling in love more remarkable.
There are two supporting characters that I love. The first one is Kathryn Tate, Amelia’s, eighteen-year-old sister who got Amelia to auditioning for the role. She’s also Amelia’s biggest supporter, especially with her relationship with Philip. The second one is Betty Richichi, Philip’s landlady, she is telling him what type of flowers to bring to Amelia so that she would remember him. Like daffodils for good luck, it was delightful. These two also helped the romance along with when it was stuck.
This movie is awesome. I highly recommend checking it out.
