Their marriage might be the key to their freedom…
Raina Merrick wants only one thing in life—to be free of her father’s ruling hand. Then the husband she barely knows walks back into her life and what she once considered important suddenly falls apart. He’s little more than a stranger, but ignites an undeniable passion in her. Focused on making their relationship work, she plans for their freedom… but her actions may ruin the very future she’s trying to build.
Kevin Merrick serves Sziveria as the Master Guardian Raiventon. His rare Interceptor Gen-Heir talent makes him indispensable to the First Intelligence Office. One of a few capable of keeping Raina safe from an unknown threat, Kevin signed a contract with her for life—in marriage. The unimaginable desire she awakens within him becomes a temptation he can’t allow. Raina would never understand the true cost of forever at his side…
Kevin’s genetic inheritance of lightning-fast speed and reflexes are tested as the threats converge on them both. Mounting danger and scorching passions may jeopardize everything…

Raiventon by Sarah Westill is another fantastic story set in a turbulent world of Sziveria.

Will Kevin find love with Princess that is his wife, or will he lose everything first?

Kevin Merrick, the Master Guardian Raiventon

Kevin is a high-ranking official, but he honestly doesn’t know if it is worth it. He has some trust issues, and the fact that he can’t even find peace in his own house isn’t making him happy to be home for this extended period that he is on. Kevin grew up in the northern part of the country, where life is much different than in Haven City. He is part of the team led by Sean, and they just keep finding more and more conspiracies against the current regime. However, some of the plots are now against Kevin personally.

I like Kevin. He is down to earth and imbraces his specialty even when it makes his life harder for him in society. Kevin is family to his teammates and remains loyal to his government. He is a pretty standup guy. The one negative point that Kevin has is pride. He almost allows his pride to cost him his life.

Lorraina “Raina” Merrick, the Master Guardianess Raiventon, aka Princess

Raiventon CRRaina is the daughter of the Arch Guardian, who pampered her to the point that she doesn’t know how to take care of her own basic needs. Yet, he didn’t show her the love that she needed after her mother’s death. Raina is very naive and doesn’t understand how specific actions make her look or those around her look. Let’s say that she gets a crash course in how those actions play out throughout this story.

Honestly, at first, Raina drove me crazy. I wanted to reach into the story and shake her by the shoulders. But as the author planned, I started to root for her and watched her grow through the story. By the end of the book, I enjoyed Raina and her points of view. Raina turns out to be stronger than I gave her credit for at the beginning of the story.

The Mystery

So, we get to learn a bit more about what is happening in the new world. Our team takes out a few more bad guys and trump a plan or two along the way, but we still don’t have the whole story. It seems that Sean, Katria, Kevin, and Raina are safe for now, but we still have a team member and his twin sister. The terrible virus and devastating incidents are now happening in New Haven.

Five Stars

Yes, I was totally in the zone with this book. I loved the story, the mystery, the characters, and the wonderfully built world that Sarah Westill has created for us. My rating for Raiventon by Sarah Westill is five stars.

I am looking forward to the next installment Kynhaven. If you haven’t already read these books, I recommend this series to all you paranormal/fantasy romance mature readers out there.

About Sarah Westill

Sarah Westill

Hello! Allow me to introduce myself to the universe, I am Sarah Westill. Christian, wife, mother, author, novice artist, professional photographer, graphic designer (this is actually my ‘real’ job), and teacher!
I homeschool our youngest for a few more months as he transitions from 6th to 7th grade, then I’m sending him to private school for actual 7th grade.

I also dabble in art. I love watercolors and have been tinkering with acrylic for a medium. I discovered I have a minor obsession with Golden paints, and have been investing in the primary colors that are in the same family (warm and cool) to make my own beautiful colors.

I absolutely LOVE to teach littles art. 2nd grade is my favorite. In addition to wanting to please, they actually still listen to instruction at this age and are so proud of themselves when they complete any portion. They aren’t hard on themselves yet, they don’t self-criticize. We can learn a lot from a 2nd grader. They also respond very well to praise and positive reinforcement.

On top of my writing, and my art dabblings, I’m also a semi-professional photographer. I say semi-pro because I haven’t had any official training, aside from working with actual pro-photographers, who helped me learn the ins and outs of exposure, composition, posing and depth of field. I absolutely adore portrait photography. Being able to capture a very human story, a moment in time for a new mother, a new marriage, is such an amazing opportunity and honor.

My job that helps pay for my path to self-publishing is a graphic designer. I’m a cover artist. Long story, but I work under the name Elaina Lee. A lot of people know Elaina the cover artist. I’m proud of that, and really blessed to have worked with hundreds of authors over the span of an entire decade.

I am excited to be starting this journey. To introduce to you my world, my Guardians, and the stories the characters have urged me to write. I hope you enjoy reading them over the coming years as much as I have enjoyed writing them.
