Forever Winter by Amber Daulton is a sweet read, but with a bit of a dark side.
Will Susanna and Camden get married?
Viscount Camden Beckinworth and Susanna Lorican have known each other their whole lives, but now they are in love. Today is their wedding day, but it seems as if the forces are against them. First, the snowstorm that surprises everyone, then the wedding dress can’t get through the snow, and the minister is hurt on his way to the ceremony. What else could go wrong for our young couple?
I like Susanna. She has a different goal than her siblings. That could be because she is the baby of the brood, or perhaps she won’t settle as her sisters did with their couplings. One thing that I like about her is her strength in herself. Susanna doesn’t back down. I also like that she genuinely loves her fiancé and wants everything to be good for him, too.
Camden is an upstanding gentleman. You can tell that he really loves Susanna and wants her to be happy. He is a man of his word. I appreciate that he protects her and her secret when needed. He will make a great provider, but I also see him allowing Susanna to help with their future.
5 Stars
My rating for Forever Winter by Amber Daulton is five stars. Ms. Daulton packs a ton into this novella. The characters pop off the page, and her writing style flows nicely. If you only have a short time and want to read an excellent story, this is the one.
