Falling for You a Hallmark Fall Harvest Movie 2018
With my love of autumn, romance and happy endings I will be watching all of the Hallmark Channel’s Fall Harvest Movies this year, then sharing my thoughts with all of you.
My disclaimer: I like the fun, romantic movies that play on Hallmark. Therefore my reviews will probably have a very positive look at each of the films.
If you would like to see a list of the Movies and their first air dates, I have listed them below.
Falling for You
Directed by: Joie Botkin
Writer: Karen Berger
Cast: Taylor Cole and Tyler Hynes
Network: Hallmark Channel
Air Date: October 6, 2018
While planning a fundraising event, a small New England town’s radio station manager meets her match in a visiting businessman who can’t seem to see beyond the screen of his laptop computer, until she ropes him into participating in her bachelor bake-off to help save the station.
This Hallmark Original Movie was inspired by the book: Baking for Keeps by Jessica Gilmore. Amazon
My thoughts:
I enjoyed this fun romance. The characters were well thought out. I liked the way the two characters paths were intertwined even before they met.
A little act of fate. Falling for You had me “awing” and laughing in lots of places.
I liked the plot. I did have some questions like why was Lacey living with her aunt. But I kind of get that too. If she wasn’t living there how would they have connected? The setting was great. I loved the autumn leaves and the apple orchard.
A funny quote:
“What could go wrong?” Lacey asked.
“If you have to ask then something.” Replies Zack
The whole Bachelor Bake-off is a delightful way to raise money. The brothers made me laugh with their competition. They both win in the end. Well, sort of, I guess. It was funny that Lacey’s Aunt Patty was teaching Ben to bake very similar to Lacey teaching Zack to bake.
My favorite quote:
“Stressed is desserts spelled backwards. ~ Lacey
I like Taylor Cole’s portrayal of Lacey Hathaway. She was very believable. I have seen many of her movies on Hallmark, but I think my favorite is My Summer Prince.
Then there is Tyler Hynes; he’s pretty cute. I thought that he and Taylor Cole have great chemistry. I like him as an actor. The one show that I remember him most from is Saving Hope.
