They take place long before the princes you know and love ever found their mates, long before The Dragon’s Queen, in a time when the dragonshifters and catshifters actually—wait for it—liked each other and hung out as friends. They also don’t have Galaxy Brides to bring them women. What they do have is the old portal that they used to escape Earth. There’s no one left to marry on the planet and things are starting to get desperate.

Determined Prince by Michelle M. Pillow is a fantastically adorable short romance. I love the way that Eve keeps telling Kyran that she is taking this change well and other women would be losing it. I think she may have been trying to convince herself.

The Hero and Heroine

Prince Kyran is a little naïve about earth’s female population. His parents told that he must find a wife. He must even if he has to do it like a Caveman, you know to throw them over your shoulder and take them with you. It is kind of funny as the female dragons won’t put up with that type of treatment. Kyran has a lot to learn about earth’s women, but I am sure that Eve will help him with that.

Eve is part of a rock and roll band. She doesn’t have a home; she moves from one place to the next with her band. Eve is feisty and believes that she is tough. Her upbringing wasn’t the best so she can handle pretty much anything. Well, except maybe a portal, three suns, another planet, and dragon-shifters all at once. However, her spirit will figure it out. I found her believable.

Determined Prince by Michelle M. Pillow gets a five stars rating. It has a little of everything, romance, dragon-shifters, the Qurilixen world, the little sci-fi, little folk tale. I enjoyed it. If you are looking for a fast read and love romance, check this one out. I am off to read the next book in the series the Rebellious Prince.
