Welcome to Everlasting, Maine, where there's no such thing as normal.
Marcy Lewis is cursed (honestly and truly) which makes dating very interesting. With a string of loser boyfriends behind her, she's done looking for love in all the wrong places. That is until the new firefighter arrives in the sleepy seaside town of Everlasting. Nicholas Logan is unlike any other man she's ever had in her life. When someone starts sending her photographs that raise a red flag it soon becomes apparent that she's not just cursed, she's in serious danger.
Nicholas doesn't know what to make of the charismatic young woman managing the local coffee shop. As a string of mysterious fires begin popping up around town, the two unite in search of clues as to who or what is responsible, discovering along the way that things are very rarely what they seem to be.

Heartbreak = Cupcakes

Curses and Cupcakes by Michelle M. Pillow is a wonderful read. I love the town of Everlasting, it would be a great place to spend a vacation.

I like Marcy. She has to deal with some really whacked out stuff. I mean really tattoos that appear and disappear on their own. Crazy. However, Marcy takes all the weird boyfriends, likes and dislikes, wardrobe changes and such with stride. I know she has been doing it for a while. Yet, she seems to keep a positive attitude. Marcy has “heart”. She really cares about her friends. This is what Marcy is about. Yes, her cupcakes are great too.

Nicholas is different than any guy that Marcy has ever liked. Nicholas likes Marcy for who she is, not what he dreams she could be. He is handsome, tall, smart, and a firefighter. But, he also wants to know the real Marcy and for the two of them to know each other. Nicholas is well grounded and has great follow through. Love strikes fast in Everlasting.

Firebugs and stalkers…

Nicholas and Marcy are both trying to figure out what is going on around town. They have suspicions but really don’t know. Jackson, Anna and Aunt Polly step in to help them out. Aunt Polly starts working on the curse, with one of her crazy potions. Let me just say there is a funny side effect. This side effect works in a couple of good ways.

We also get an inside look at Aunt Polly’s house and her pet lobster is around, along with her army of gnomes. Aunt Polly has got the party planning down that is for sure. Don’t worry some of the other residents of Everlasting are in this story. Watch for the “Code Nine” emergencies. Oh, and new partnerships.

“Oh, no, they’re all crazier than egg without a chicken.” ~ Aunt Polly

I love happy endings. My rating for Curses and Cupcakes by Michelle M. Pillow is 5-stars. If you haven’t read the other books in the series don’t worry they are all standalone books. Yet, I highly recommend the Happily Everlasting series. You can check out our reviews of the first 5 books below.

As long as she can remember, Michelle has had a strange fascination with anything supernatural and sci-fi. After discovering historical romance novels, it was only natural that the supernatural and love/romance elements should someday meet in her wonderland of a brain. She’s glad they did for their children have been pouring onto the computer screen ever since.

Michelle loves to travel and try new things, whether it’s a paranormal investigation of an old Vaudeville Theatre or climbing Mayan temples in Belize. She’s addicted to movies and used to drive her mother crazy while quoting random scenes with her brother. Though it has yet to happen, her dream is to be a zombie in a horror movie. (She came close as a refugee extra on SyFy’s Z Nation, airing Fall 2016!)
For the most part she can be found writing in her office with a cup of coffee in pajama pants.
She loves talking with readers on social media.
