When mistletoe is not enough…
With her only son still single, Mrs. Claus is rolling up her red sleeves and playing matchmaker. With a little advice from Cupid and a list of potential brides, she’s convinced a dash of magic will get the snowball rolling. There’s just one problem, Nick isn’t looking for love. All he wants to do is fill his father’s boots as he prepares to take over as Santa Claus.
While Mrs. Claus is scheming away, Nick meets Heather, a charming artist with a giving heart and a loving smile. Preparing for her first Christmas alone, Heather is looking for adventure. Nick becomes a kindred spirit as they both remember what it’s like to live in the moment. Just as they think they found a fairytale romance, Nick discovers his mother’s magical meddling.
With Christmas Eve quickly approaching, Nick must decide if his love for Heather was the real magic all along or if it was just the work of Cupid Claus?
Cupid Claus by Sarah Fischer and Kelsey McKnight is an enlightening holiday romance that makes me smile.
Will Carol get away with trying to matchmake for her son?
Carol Kringle
Carol Kringle is our Cupid Claus and the reason why we have this book. She is a bit nosy when it comes to her only child having a love life and not just focusing on work. He is a Claus, though, and that is hard. Carol grows from being this nosy mom that wants what is best for her son to realize that maybe she shouldn’t be butting in. She is a marvelous character who wants her son to be happy and have a support system built in like when his dad took over being Santa. Carol would also like some grandkids.
Nicholas Kringle
Nicholas, Nick, wants to be a great Santa and without having to take someone away from their lives to be his wife. He is a great guy for thinking that and is a romantic at heart. Nick loves spreading joy and cheer when he can before Christmas. He is open to the possibility of changing his mind, but he doesn’t want his mom to push him.
Heather Arnett
Heather Arnett is another fantastic character in this line up of characters. She wants to skip over Christmas entirely. Too many memories are wrapped up in this holiday that makes her sad. She puts on a brave face and goes through the motions of everyday living. Until Nick shows up and tosses her plans out the window when they meet at a homeless shelter. Heather ends up changing throughout as Carol does, and I love seeing that.
