Plot Summary:
Librarian and real crime buff Aurora Teagarden never liked Detective Sergeant Jack Burns, but she also never wanted to see him dead. Complicating matters, his body is found outside her house casting suspicion on her. Determined to find the killer and clear her name, she can’t help but get involved. When other strange things happen around her, ranging from peculiar to violent to potentially deadly, she must decipher the personal message before it’s too late.
Based on the book Dead Over Heels by Charlaine Harris
My Rating:
My Thoughts:
Aurora still owns the Julius House and is trying to fix things herself since Martin was away on business and wants to be able to do things herself. This movie is just a big topsy-turvy type of movie as we have a lot of suspects that can become red herrings. The two major ones are Roe and Martin. Roe because the dead body landed in front of her house and that she spoke to the dead guy about Martin recently. Martin because the dead cop wanted to talk to him.
We get a new character in this one a cop that was a transfer back to town and knew Captain Burns. The police officer thinks its Martin because he believes he has evidence to tie this all together.
My favorite scene in this movie is the Real Murders Club talking about Captain Burns and who has the motive to kill him. Along with how they would be able to pull it off.
This movie we were all so invested in that we couldn’t figure out who did it. We had some strong guesses until they were proven to be red herrings. It wasn’t until some evidence that turned up that we along with Roe figured it out.
