Amelia Moore, the founder of the Moore Detective Agency, specializes in missing persons. Along with her partner, Rick Bonito, they are sometimes put in dangerous situations as they travel to exotic places such as Bali Island in Indonesia, Ireland where she gets to kiss the Blarney Stone, and Mexico, where she experiences a rain forest. Volume 1 includes three cozy mysteries.

When Mrs. Brody hires Amelia and Rick to find her missing brother, they find themselves in Bali, Indonesia. They are mystified why her brother quit his job, put his home up for sale, and ran off to this mysterious and exotic island without telling a soul.
The Bali Mystery by Linda Weaver Clarke is a wonderful mix of romance and mystery. The romance between the two main characters and the mystery of whatever they are hired to uncover.
Can Amelia and Rick find out why William went to Bali?
Amelia Moore is the lead private detective at her agency. Rick Bonito is her partner at the agency and, of course, friend. I like how they know each other well enough to know when either Amelia needs Rick or Rick needs Amelia to help out on a case. Their friendship in this novel is excellent, and I love how they flirt with each other while not trying to make it too obvious. Amelia is very into keeping things professional and trying not to give in to her feelings.
Rick, on the other hand, thinks that she might like him but doesn’t know how much. I have to say that these two are hilarious throughout the book. Not only as friends but as partners trying to solve this case on finding William, who is a missing person, is nice. They both bring something that the other doesn’t have to this case that makes them both invaluable on it.
These two as potential love interests intrigue me since it will be great to see how much Amelia tries to keep their professional lives separate from their unprofessional lives. For right now, I’m happy with seeing them flirting here and there.
The Mystery
Amelia and Rick are tasked by William’s sister to find her missing brother. William had a schedule that he liked to follow; then, suddenly, he stops going to work and leaves out of the blue, not telling his sister where he went. See, William went to Bali, but why would he go to Bali? That is the question that Amelia and Rick have to figure out, especially after they can catch up with him in Bali. I love the scenes in Bali as they are so vivid that I felt that I was right there with the characters. Another great thing about this is that I love how they can solve the mystery and what else they might have discovered as well.
Four Stars
The Bali Mystery by Linda Weaver Clarke is a read. I always love to pick up a book by her and get sucked into the story. Amelia and Rick are amazing characters, along with all of the other characters that they met along the way. Amelia and Rick’s story are different from what I have read by this author, but that’s also a good thing. I am in love with these characters, and I can’t wait to read more from them. I am giving this book four stars and recommending it.

When Amelia is hired to search for her client’s grandparents, the case takes them to Ireland. Kate must learn about her heritage. Who are her grandparents and could they still be alive after all these years? Why did her parents leave Ireland suddenly and move to America? Is there more to this case than meets the eye?
The Shamrock Case by Linda Weaver Clarke is about finding family heritage and making new friends.
Can Amelia find Kate’s family in Ireland?
A lot has happened since the last book. Amelia and Rick have been dating off and on for a bit. Well, probably just a date here and there when they could schedule one in between their cases. Amelia is into solving this case for her newest client named Kate because she wants her to have the same type of relationship that Amelia had with her grandparents. I love this about Amelia’s character as it shows a lot about who she is and how much family means to her. Rick is with Amelia helping to get to the bottom of what happened with this family.
These two, as love interests, are great, and I love how much they support each other. Rick is helping Amelia solve her cases even if he doesn’t necessarily need to help her, but he likes being around Amelia. Amelia is the same way around Rick, but I am glad that Rick went with her to Ireland. Sometimes a woman does need a man around to help defend her.
The Case
Instead of this being a mystery, even though it is but not really, it’s a case. The case in this novel happens to be to help an eighteen-year-old girl find her family heritage. I can’t say why she wants to find out about her heritage, but it’s great. I love how Mrs. Clarke happens to use her great-grandfather to be Kate’s father here. The case takes them to Ireland, where Amelia and Rick find out a lot about Kate’s family, especially on her dad’s side. I loved every minute of reading about their trip to Ireland, and I still want to visit this place.
Five Stars
The Shamrock Case by Linda Weaver Clarke is a great little read about finding and reconnecting with lost family members. I have to say that I loved this book so much that I didn’t want to put it down at certain times because of how much I loved it. Ms. Clarke weaved together another excellent case for Amelia and Rick. I can’t wait to read about these two. I am giving this book five stars and recommending it.

Dell Murphy has passed on and left a fortune to his nephew. He wants his nephew to continue his work at the orphanage in Mexico, but there is one problem. Neal Woods is missing! If Amelia and Rick can’t find him soon, the fortune will be turned over to Dell’s brother and sister who intend to close down “Uncle Dell’s Orphanage.” If that happens, where will the children go?
The Missing Heir by Linda Weaver Clarke is another excellent case solved by Amelia Moore and Rick Bonito.
Where has Neal been at for these last two months?
These two business and romantic partners are trying to find the last member of Dell Murphy’s family for the will reading. The one problem that everyone seemed to have is they can’t find Neal Woods. Amelia is usually well prepared and has everything planned out for their staying and where they are eating. Well, not this time. Amelia is less ready for this trip than Rick thought she would be. In this installment, these two lovebirds find out a lot more about each other, and I find it endearing. Even if Amelia is still holding back from Rick, and he doesn’t like that. I still think that these two are cute together.
The Case
Amelia is hired by Neal’s two cousins to find him and get him back to where they live by the twenty-fourth, or he won’t get his inheritance. So, Amelia has been trying to find him everywhere, and the case takes her and Rick to Mexico to find Neal. Let’s say that’s when the real adventure takes place for these two private investigators to deal with, which is pretty fun to read. I loved being in Mexico with them, as it felt like I was there with them the whole time.
Four Stars
The Missing Heir by Linda Weaver Clarke is another excellent mystery for the Moore Detective Agency to find and retrieve a missing family member. I have to say that Ms. Clarke has done a fantastic job on this one as well. I love how her research into specific places that Amelia and Rick go to help defines the subject of the book. I am giving this book four stars and recommending it.
