A Shoe Addict's Christmas

A SHOE ADDICT’S CHRISTMAS

Network: Hallmark

Stars:  Candace Cameron Bure, Luke Macfarlane, Jean Smart

As Christmas approaches, Noelle (Bure) is at a crossroads in her life when it seems that love, a connection with her father, and her dream career are out of reach. When she stays late at her job in a department store on a snowy Christmas Eve, she accidentally gets locked in after closing.

She isn’t too concerned about the prospect of spending the night in the store… until a quirky woman appears out of nowhere in the shoe department and tells Noelle that she’s her guardian angel.

Soon, Noelle finds herself revisiting Christmases past, present, and future as she must work with her new neighbor, a handsome, Christmas-loving firefighter, to plan the annual Christmas Charity Gala.

Will visiting the holidays of yesterday and tomorrow help Noelle take new chances and discover the true spirit of Christmas? And in realizing that the only thing standing in her way of leading a fulfilling life is herself, will the love she has longed for all her life be the best surprise gift of all?

My Rating:

five-stars

My Thoughts:

I was skeptical about this movie. I adore Candace Cameron Bure, but seriously I am not that into shoes. However, I do know people who have more shoes than anything else. So, I thought what the heck let’s watch it. Oh, I am so happy I did. I loved it.

The way the shoes tied into each memory was so perfect for Noelle. Jean Smart, played the guardian angel perfectly. Boy, did she have her work set out for her with Noelle? That girl was such a negative Nellie.  I also thought that Jake Macfarlane was terrific as Jake. He and Candace had the right amount of chemistry/attraction. They all played their parts well.

I also really liked the story that Charlie told about God, a man, and three sleighs. It makes a lot of sense.

This movie was such a surprise and exceeded my expectations. I highly recommend it.
