Wrapped in red has a bloody new meaning in this contemporary holiday romance with a murderous twist, perfect for readers who enjoyed The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year.

Christmasville, Maine, is the only place where Kelsey Hendricks has ever felt happy. When she loses both her job and her boyfriend, the move is a no-brainer, especially when she sees a listing for a position as Christmasville’s social media manager. Surrounded by twinkling lights and candy canes and with the perfect job, this tinsel town is working its magic on Kelsey. With two heartthrobs vying for her attention, her life is now just like a Christmas movie.

Except for the murders.

The first one is dismissed as an accident. But after the second, and definitely the third, it becomes abundantly clear that Santa is leaving coal in someone’s stocking this year.

Determined to bring back the holly jolly spirit to the town before tourists begin canceling their reservations, Kelsey must sleuth her way out of a chilling murder mystery and back to a holiday rom-com.

This charming and clever mystery-romance where a cozy winter wonderland warms the heart while suspense chills the bones is the perfect read for the holiday season.

A Killer for Christmas by Kim Harrington is just one person wanting a fresh start around the holidays.

Will Kesley find her new start in Christmasville, Maine?

Kelsey Hendricks

The protagonist is Kelsey Hendricks. She works with businesses to build their social media presence. Kelsey quits her job in Boston to go to Christmasville, Maine, where she already has a job lined up as the town’s social media person. It’s a great gig for her because it gives her a chance to start fresh. Not only that, but Kelsey loves Christmasville, and being back is reminding her of that.
I like Kelsey and think she is a wonderful sleuth. Sadly, the events that happen after she showed up aren’t that great, but Kelsey handles the pressure well. It also doesn’t help when she has two hot guys wanting to be with her.

The Mystery

On Kelsey’s first day in Christmasville, she finds a dead body in what is supposed to be her hotel room. She gets moved, and everything is good until she stumbles upon two more dead bodies, one after another. Christmasville isn’t looking great right now, but Kelsey is trying to make things work for herself and her new town, which is starting to grow on her. I have to say that I didn’t think the person who did the deeds actually did. I was honestly looking at someone else entirely.

Five Stars

My rating for A Killer for Christmas by Kim Harrington is five stars. I am recommending this book as Ms. Harrington definitely had me keeping a red herring on my list the entire time. I wasn’t looking where I needed to look. Ms. Harrington is a great author. I hope she keeps writing with these characters, because I can’t wait to see what happens next for Kelsey and everyone else.
