Plot Summary:
Garage sale guru and amateur sleuth Jennifer Shannon agrees to appear on a new reality TV series. During the show she comes in contact with a mysterious puzzle box, in which the box’s now-deceased creator may have placed the clue to her killer. When the dead woman’s daughter-in-law is found dead just a few days later, Jennifer’s curiosity once again places her in harm’s way as she embarks on her own unorthodox investigation of the murders.

My Thoughts:
Dani talks Jennifer into appearing on a new reality TV series that will feature their shop for an episode, along with one of the antiques they are working on. Dani and Jen end up having fun while doing this whole thing. A woman stops in with a puzzle box for Jen to open, but doesn’t want to be on the show, as her in-laws wouldn’t want their name getting leaked out.
I have to say that this movie had me a bit stumped. Solving the murder was a lot harder since the puzzle box, which can’t be opened, is a big clue. Jen takes things in stride and ends up helping out the police to figure out who did it. Jason, Hannah, and Logan each have their own things to deal with. Hannah meets a new guy she likes, Logan ends up needing to raise money for the damages he accidentally caused while driving his dad’s car, and Jason ends up helping both kids by being a shoulder to cry on when they need to talk things out with him.
I liked this movie even with my stepdad announcing with each new piece of evidence that this certain person is the killer or that one. He ended up being wrong, while my mom and I ended up being right. Okay, it’s more that we each had pieces, and we all ended up being right. It’s fun revisiting these mysteries and getting geared up for the new one coming out soon.
