Summary:

Hardworking lawyer and capable sailor, Tia captains a dinner cruiser for the summer but is upset to learn her ex-boyfriend Jake is chef. On its maiden voyage, the yacht’s engine blows and must be towed ashore. Overcoming unkind reviews, Jake and Tia work together to land another booking; later, while enjoying a meteor shower, they find their relationship sparking as well. But when Tia is offered partnership at her firm, Jake is convinced she’ll accept and grows distant. Hurt, Tia sends a paper wish lantern aloft, and if her wish comes true Jake is in for a surprise.

Okay, I do have to say that this movie is a fantastic one. Autumn Reeser and Brennan Elliott both did marvelous jobs playing their characters. These two are some of my favorite actors, and it’s cool to see them working on this movie together.

Autumn Reeser plays Tia, who has her captain license and doesn’t use it because she is a lawyer working at her father’s law firm. Then when her aunt and uncle need a captain for their yacht restaurant adventure in San Francisco, she heads down for some much needed time off. Tia is very into helping her family out, especially since it gives her the time off that she needs and lets her do something that she has loved.

Brennan Elliott plays Jake, a chef who quits his job at a restaurant after being offered an executive chef of the restaurant yacht. These two are exes, and they seem to have been doing well on just keeping things professional. I think that Brennan and Autumn are adorable together and that their chemistry is definitely there.

So, all in all, the story is great, the setting is beautiful (even though it clearly wasn’t filmed in San Francisco), the cast was put together well, and the acting was excellent. If you haven’t seen it, you should.
