Plot Summary:
Librarian and passionate mystery fan Aurora Teagarden can’t seem to avoid murder no matter how hard she tries and this time the dead man shows up right on her front porch. After agreeing to host her beau Martin’s long-lost niece and her newborn for the night, trouble begins almost immediately when the girl disappears, the baby is found hidden in the bathtub, and Aurora discovers a stranger in her linen closet, along with $10,000 cash in a diaper bag. With her usual determination, Roe sets out to crack the case, this time while playing surrogate mother to a mysteriously abandoned two-week old, and trying to avoid the ire of Lawrenceton’s new police chief.
Based on the book A Fool and His Honey by Charlaine Harris
My Rating:
My Thoughts:
This movie is another cute one from the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries. We find out that Martin has a niece that is estranged and she has a baby. Roe and Martin still together in this one and I loved how they took care of his nephew or instead found ways to take care of him.
My favorite scenes:
- The first one is when Aurora is at work and talking to Martin. We don’t see Roe at work that much in some movies since she was too busy solving a murder. It could also be that she wasn’t scheduled to work there.
- Aurora and Martin being with Regina, Martin’s estranged niece, and her baby. That was very touching.
- Another is Aurora and her mom changing Hayden’s diaper.
- And the last one is how Aurora would have her mom and the other librarian watch Hayden while she is trying to solve the murder.
The one thing that I miss in the movies is Aurora doing her murder board. That is always so fun to see how she is piecing it together or who her suspects are.
I do have to say though that baby Hayden stole the show as he was very adorably cute.
The mystery is one that I had a hard time figuring out. It wasn’t until a bit before Aurora figured it out that I did. Since Regina’s husband was killed and something happened to Regina and the baby. It was a big mess. Thankfully it was solved peacefully.
