My Rating:

four-stars

My Thoughts:

Natalie Hall and Michael Rady are back in another Hallmark movie. You’re Bacon Me Crazy offers a fantastic storyline for this cast to bring to life.

The Characters

Natalie Hall plays Cleo Morelli, a young food truck chef that has been making her grandfather’s sandwich recipes. Cleo is a great character, and I could tell that she wanted to do a whole lot more than just make sandwiches but was afraid. She develops from this not so confident person to being confident enough to believe that Cleo can do more than just make sandwiches. Her food really did look good.

Michael Rady plays Gabe, another food truck chef, that focuses on using bacon in every way possible. Some of his food items didn’t sound all that good, but when they were shown in the movie, it looked good. I kind of want to figure out bacon fried rice now. Gabe is also someone that has traveled a lot for the past five years after skipping town for the reason that will be explained. He, like Cleo, are natives of Portland, Oregon, but hasn’t been home in a while because of the need to explore.

Their Chemistry

Michael Rady and Natalie Hall have such amazing chemistry that I believed everything that was happening to their characters. Natalie and Michael are great actors and pulled off the cooking scenes and for Cleo’s case doing some art. I can’t wait to see these two in more movies, either together or apart.

The Rest

Everything about this movie I loved. The settings, the plot, and the overall message. The message I believe that the film is trying to bring out is that you should believe in what you can do, whether it be making sandwiches to making delicious meals. The one thing that I kind of didn’t like is that I felt like they rushed the end of the movie. From the competition to the end just felt rushed, but either way, it was still great.
