Upcoming Releases March 2019 HeaderThe Baroness’ Choices for Upcoming Releases for March 2019

Hello! I have some fabulous books picked out for March. Some of these books I will be reviewing throughout March.

Romance

I picked a Harlequin Heartwarming romance, by Carol Ross. She is a marvelous romance author that transports you into her story.  In the Doctor’s Arms is the sixth in her Seasons of Alaska series.

YA

The young adult genre, I found a fantasy called The Tesla Legacy by K.K. Perez, which has mystery, science fiction and a little supernatural. Doesn’t that sound fantastic?

Cozy Mysteries

I love a great mystery, but cozies are my favorites of late. So, I have these cozies for you: Rest, Relax, Run for Your Life by Katherine H. Brown. She is a relatively new author and I a looking forward to her first book in the Ooey Gooey Bakery Mystery Series. Then there is Trouble on the Books by Essie Lang; this book is the first in A Castle Bookshop Mystery Series. Another first book in An Ancestor Detective Mystery Series is Murder Once Removed by S.C. Perkins.

Vivien Chien’s third book in A Noodle Shop Mystery Series, Murder Lo Mein is available at the end of the month.

That brings us to Canyons, Caravans & Cadavers by the talented Tonya Kappes with the sixth installment in A Camper & Criminal Cozy Mystery Series.

Cozy Mysteries with Paranormal & Romance

For all of you who like a little paranormal with your cozy mysteries, I’ve got The Ghost Who Ate Grits by Amy Boyles. This book is the third in her Southern Ghost Wranglers Series. However, Pepper and Axel from Ms. Boyles’ Sweet Tea Witches Mystery Series make an appearance in this installment.

Then we have Bone-a-fied Trouble by Carolyn Haines. This book is ninth in the Familiar Legacy Series, and a is in Sarah Booth Delaney’s hometown. I am looking forward to this one.

Note: I will be reviewing the entire Familiar Legacy Series in March. And…I am also interviewing the six authors of that series, so watch for all of those. Exciting right?!

I can’t wait to read these fabulous books. March is going to be super packed so keep checking back. Enjoy! Below you will find more about my choices for Upcoming Releases in March 2019.

Essie Lang’s series debut is perfect for fans of Lorna Barrett, Vicki Delany, and book lovers everywhere.

Rookie bookstore owner Shelby Cox must hit the books to learn the ropes before she loses a killer in the stacks.

Shelby Cox never intended to become a bookseller, so when the former editor returns to her hometown of Alexandria Bay, nestled in upstate New York’s breathtaking Thousand Islands region, to take over her aunt’s bookstore, she has no idea what to expect. To her amazement, she discovers that she now owns a fifty-percent share in Bayside Books, and will also run the store’s second location in the majestic castle on nearby Blye Island.

But just as Shelby is gearing up for the start of the tourist season, the Castle volunteer coordinator is found murdered in the nearby Grotto. Castle caretaker Matthew Kessler is suspect number one, but Shelby thinks the killing may be connected to an earlier era, when violence among Prohibition-era smugglers was rampant in the region. As Shelby launches her own investigation, handsome and unnerving Special Agent Zack Griffin of the Coast Guard Investigative Services tries to quell her smuggling theory and keep her safe. But Shelby is determined to summon all her savvy as a book editor to plot the murder—and find the killer before he strikes again—in Trouble on the Books, Essie Lang’s clever and captivating series debut.

An Ancestor Detective Mystery #1

Publication Date: March 19, 2019

Genre: Mystery, Cozy

Goodreads | BookBub | Amazon

S.C. Perkins’ Murder Once Removed is the captivating first mystery in the Ancestry Detective series, in which Texas genealogist Lucy Lancaster uses her skills to solve murders in both the past and present.

Except for a good taco, genealogist Lucy Lancaster loves nothing more than tracking down her clients’ long-dead ancestors, and her job has never been so exciting as when she discovers a daguerreotype photograph and a journal proving Austin, Texas, billionaire Gus Halloran’s great-great-grandfather was murdered back in 1849. What’s more, Lucy is able to tell Gus who was responsible for his ancestor’s death.

Partly, at least. Using clues from the journal, Lucy narrows the suspects down to two nineteenth-century Texans, one of whom is the ancestor of present-day U.S. senator Daniel Applewhite. But when Gus publicly outs the senator as the descendant of a murderer—with the accidental help of Lucy herself—and her former co-worker is murdered protecting the daguerreotype, Lucy will find that shaking the branches of some family trees proves them to be more twisted and dangerous than she ever thought possible.
