The Baroness’ Choices for Upcoming Releases for February 2019

Hello! I have some really great books picked out for February. So, many of them I will be reviewing on the site and a couple of them I am part of the blog tours.

Romances

Let’s start with the romances as February is the month of love (you, know Valentine’s day and all). I picked three Harlequin Heartwarming romances, by authors that I have read before. We have His Honor, Her Family by Tara Randel, Kissed by the Country Doc by Melinda Curtis (the first in her new series), Winning the Cowboy’s Heart by Karen Rock.

Then I found this new author, Dana Ross and her book called Full Girlfriend Experience. It is set in DC with some behind the scenes political scheming. I am looking forward to reading this one. I will be posting a review so look for that before the release date.

Middle School

Then, there is and general fiction/middle school novel, by another new author. Thomas Wildus and the Book of Sorrows by JM Bergen is said to be similar to Harry Potter. I will let you know as I will post about it too.

YA

The young adult genre, I found Fame, Fate, and the First Kiss by Kasie West, which sounds fantastic. Then all of you House of Night fans P.C. and Kristin Cast have a new series out and the first book The Dysasters will be out at the end of the month. I am looking forward to that one.

Mystery

Lee Goldberg has a new Ian Ludlow book out on the twelveth called Killer Thriller. I am sure it will be a big hit as Mr. Goldberg is an excellent writer.

Cozy Mysteries

Last but not least, I have some cozy mysteries, like: Past Due for Murder by Victoria Gilbert, The Puppy Who Knew Too Much by V.M. Burns, Pie Hard (I love this title) by Kirsten Weiss, Drawn and Buttered, part of the Lobster Shack Mystery Series by Shari Randall, Corned beef and Casualties by Lynn Cahoon. It is a St Patty’s day read and the tenth installment of the Tourist Trap Mysteries. Then we have Motorhomes, Maps, & Murder by Tonya Kappes with the fifth book in her A Campers & Criminals Cozy Mystery Series.

Cozy Mysteries with Paranormal & Romance

If you are looking for a little paranormal with your cozy mysteries, I found Wool over your Eyes and Found Dead in the Red Head by Violet Patton; Murders and Metaphors by Amanda Flower. Also, I have a cozy mystery with a paranormal romance all wrapped up together in Everybody Wants to Rune the World by Mandy M Roth.

I can’t wait to read all these fabulous books. As I said before look for my reviews because most these I will be reading. Enjoy! Below you will find more about my choices for Upcoming Releases in February 2019

Thomas Wildus #1

Publication Date: February 2, 2019

Genre: Middle School, Fantasy

Goodreads | BookBub | Amazon

“…will instantly draw in any reader who has secretly (or not so secretly) wished for a little more wonder in their world. Parallels will of course be drawn to the Harry Potter series—and rightfully so—but this book also shares much in common with Madeleine L’Engle’s A Wrinkle in Time.” – 5 Stars, Red City Review

‘Magic is real, Thomas. No matter what happens, always remember that magic is real.’

Seven years have passed, and Thomas hasn’t forgotten. He hasn’t forgotten the blue of his dad’s eyes either, or the tickle of beard on his cheek as they hugged goodbye. Last moments with a parent are memorable, even if you don’t know that’s what you’re having.

Now, with his 13th birthday rapidly approaching, Thomas’s search for magic is about to take a radical and unexpected turn. At an out-of-the-way shop filled with dusty leather books, a strange little man with gold-flecked eyes offers him an ancient text called The Book of Sorrows. The price is high and the rules are strict, but there’s no way Thomas can resist the chance to look inside.

With the mysterious book guiding the way, a strange new world is revealed – a world in which Thomas has a name and destiny far more extraordinary than he ever imagined. But time is short. Even as Thomas uncovers his secret family history, a powerful new enemy emerges, threatening to end his rise to power and destroy everything he holds dear.

Through a fresh voice, genuine characters, and a unique story line, Thomas Wildus and The Book of Sorrows is destined to appeal to fans of Harry Potter and readers of all ages who love the search for magic and adventure.
