When did the holidays become such a tangled mess?
Can a quirky woman help this Scrooge get his jolly back?
Tricked into helping with Silverton’s Festival of Trees, electrician Mike Clarke battles faulty outlets, tangled lights, and a woman determined to share the spirit of the season.

Taylor Taggart doesn’t care what anyone thinks of her and her wacky, optimistic way of viewing life. Then she meets an electrician in need of a good dose of Christmas cheer and a second chance at love.

Untangling Christmas by Shanna Hatfield has two people who didn’t think they deserved to be loved but actually are loveable.

Will Mike and Taylor make a great couple?

Mike Clarke

Mike Clarke, an electrician, was tricked into helping at Silverton’s Festival of Trees because he was desperately needed. He was okay with it until he saw the current organizer of the festival and decided he didn’t want anything to do with it. He’s a total Scrooge.

I have to say that I liked Mike even when he was being all grumpy pants with Taylor. It was super cute.

Taylor Taggert

Taylor Taggert is the niece of the person who owns the building they use for the Festival of Trees. Her uncle usually organizes the festival but couldn’t this year, so Taylor is in the picture. After being dealt a lousy hand by certain love choices, Taylor stops conforming to how things are expected to be and does what she wants. Taylor, especially, makes those decisions about her clothes.

I like Taylor’s willingness to express herself through quirky clothing choices. Taylor loves the holiday season and likes to spread that joy, which is great to see, especially when she does it around Mike.

The Romance

Mike and Taylor had nasty last romantic entanglements, so they decided not to worry about that anymore. Well, until fate brought them together. Mike and Taylor are great together. They make each other see things differently about the other without them even realizing it.

The holidays genuinely do bring people together in unique ways that are special around the holiday season.

Five Stars

My rating for Untangling Christmas by Shanna Hatfield is five stars. I loved reading Mike and Taylor’s love story, and Ms. Hatfield writes her books so that if I wanted to go back and read the first two books, I could since I wasn’t spoiled. Ms. Hatfield is a fantastic writer, and I already miss hanging out with these two.

Remember to check out the recipe for pumpkin cookies in the back of the book. Instead of making the cookie dough from scratch, you use a box of cake mix.
