They both know it’s true

Where there’s smoke, there’s fire!

Working with the new fire chief, Roman Salazar, is a challenge for Frankie Bettencourt. Everyone in Butterfly Harbor agrees she was the one destined for the top job at the station house! So, should she quit? No way! But she will steer clear of Roman from now on…or at least until his kindness, quick smile and can-do attitude win the town—and possibly Frankie—over for good!

The Firefighter’s Thanksgiving Wish by Anna J. Stewart is a heartwarming story about two firefighters falling for each other.

Will Frankie keep her heart safe from Roman?

Frankie Bettencourt

Frankie Bettencourt is a long-time resident of Butterfly Harbor and has been at the fire station for a long time. She has a twin brother that she loves and is sometimes worried about him. Frankie has been wanting to be the Chief of the fire department in Butterfly Harbor since she was a little girl going there with her dad. Sadly the mayor Gil passed her by for this position. Is she upset? Of course. Will she do anything about it? Nope. She will take it in strides and try to play nice with the new chief.

What I like about Frankie is that she is a woman who speaks her mind and makes it clear when she’s upset about something. She is also good with kids and loves her community so much that she wouldn’t consider the thought of going someplace else so that she could become chief. What I don’t like about Frankie is that despite wanting the best for the community, she would forfeit being happy herself.

Roman Salazar

Roman Salazar is a firefighter who bounces to different firehouses to get his ultimate dream job of being an investigator for the feds. Instead of getting the job that he wants, Roman heads to Butterfly Harbor to regroup and to act as a chief of this firehouse. Roman is a nice guy who didn’t realize the landmines he set off by accepting this position. He’s a good guy that wants to fulfill his dreams. Except will Butterfly Harbor change him as it has everyone else?

The Firefighter's Thanksgiving Wish CRWhat I like about Roman is that he speaks his mind when he doesn’t like something that doesn’t sit right with him. He is into getting to know the town despite telling himself that it’s just a pitstop for him.

Five Stars

Ms. Stewart has captured my heart with firefighters Frankie and Roman. These two are so funny when they are around each other and talk. I loved the way that they worked together. Frankie and Roman are great together, and I like seeing how everyone else realizes something is going on but them. I, even more, loved the dynamic between them when something unexpected happens. This book encompasses two holidays.

The Firefighter’s Thanksgiving Wish by Anna J. Stewart is getting a five rating, and I am recommending it to anyone that reads romance.

About Anna J. Stewart

Anna Stewart

What happens when geek girls grow up?  This one became a writer.

You’ve met me (or someone like me) before. I was the girl who spun in circles on the playground hoping my Wonder Woman costume would magically appear before playing cops and robbers a la Charlie’s Angels–Sabrina was my favorite. I was the girl in the back of the class with a paperback romance hidden in her algebra book (and yes, I failed algebra). I was the girl making up stories about the Starship Enterprise and trying to figure out how I could join the Hardy Boys on their latest adventure.

I can’t remember not having a book in my hand or a story in my head. Growing up in the 70′s and 80′s meant there weren’t a lot of YA books, so I ventured early into mainstream fiction and read Stephen King’s CARRIE at the age of 8. Discovering Nora Roberts and romance novels early in high school opened my eyes to the wonders of storytelling and the beauty of a happily ever after.

There’s something incredible about creating something out of nothing, of having a glimmer of an idea transform itself into a story somewhere between thought and fingers.Creating rich characters with life altering conflicts, setting them on their journeys of self-discovery to their happily ever afters is what I live to do. It’s what I love doing. Those who say writing is hard work aren’t lying–at times the process is excruciating. But there is nothing like the rush that comes from bringing a story to life with the stroke of the pen or the click of the keys.

So here I am, many years later, an English Degree on my wall, a Golden Heart nomination behind me, countless stories in my head, and coping with a serious addiction to STAR TREK, SUPERNATURAL, and SHERLOCK. A hybrid author writing sweet and mainstream romance, romantic suspense and paranormal romance. Life doesn’t get any better than that.
