The Selection began with thirty-five girls. Now with the group narrowed down to the six Elite, the competition to win Prince Maxon's heart is fiercer than ever—and America is still struggling to decide where her heart truly lies. Is it with Maxon, who could make her life a fairy tale? Or with her first love, Aspen?
America is desperate for more time. But the rest of the Elite know exactly what they want—and America's chance to choose is about to slip away.
The Elite by Kiera Cass has the competition coming close to the end.
Does America have Maxon’s heart?
America Singer
America has two boys competing for her affection. One is the prince, and the other is Aspen, a guard. I am still rooting for Maxon since he’s the one I feel has her best interests at heart, even if it doesn’t show all the time. Plus, I feel like Aspen had his time with America and that he doesn’t deserve a second chance. America has gotten better since the first book about many things, and I’m glad about it. She is genuinely friendly, and I can’t wait to see how she will be in the next book.
Maxon and Aspen
Maxon is the prince, and someone America hasn’t known personally for too long. Except for how he shows how much he cares about her, I think he deserves more of her attention. Maxon has a lot of things to deal with, and I believe that Maxon needs to let America in so that she can try to help him. Even if that is unorthodox, as she isn’t his princess yet but with the little things that I think would generally help, I also feel that America needs to be open with Maxon a bit more as well, especially with her feelings, these two will be cute together once America wins the competition.
Now for Aspen, I feel like he’s just been a problem from the start. No matter where the two are, they are always meeting in secret, which isn’t great, especially in America’s current predicament. Aspen should probably move on so that America can be someone the country needs.
Five Stars
I am giving five stars to The Elite by Kiera Cass as it is such a great series, and I love it the more I learn about it. The way Ms. Cass drops hints about the world around them is so great, and I love learning about everything that is going on every time I open up a new book. Now to see if Ms. America Singer can secure herself the win for Maxon’s heart, then everything will be fine.
