My Rating:
My Thoughts:
The third to last Countdown to Summer movie was pretty awesome. It reminded me of 27 Dresses with the main character being in three weddings in a month. The quote “Always the bridesmaid never the bride” comes to mind about this movie.
Claire is a great character who wants love and thought she had that with her ex Jason. That is until a certain captain comes into her life and she sees what she never had that with Jason. And he part of the reason that Blue Island is up for sale. Leah Renee is a great actress, and I think that she has done a perfect job with this character.
Captain Tom Hastings is the main male lead, and he is another marvelous character with flaws. He never had a reason to stay in one place before and didn’t know if he ever would until getting to know Claire and with the help of his first mate pointing it the obvious. Tom is a great guy that wants what is best for Claire and the town. Chris McNally did a fantastic job as this character, and he looked like he belonged on the boat and in the water like his character.
I love the whole nautical theme that everyone in Willoughby had going on. It reminded me of Nantucket, okay so I have never been there, but from the pictures, I have seen it does. The movie had that East coast vibe to it that I know the West coast doesn’t have. The town was charming, and I like how they stuck together after being reminded of how much Blue Island is apart of their lives and won’t be if it’s developed.
I liked this movie. Leah and Chris’s chemistry was there, and it made me believe that their characters were falling in love with each other. If you haven’t seen it, check it out.
