However this book is available to Amazon Prime Members as an Amazon First Reads, Kindle version is $4.99 or $9.99 for the hardcover. There is also a Giveaway that ends on March 31st, follow the Goodreads button above to enter the giveaway.

When a passenger jet crashes onto the beaches of Waikiki, bestselling thriller writer Ian Ludlow knows the horrific tragedy wasn’t an accident.

Years before, the CIA enlisted Ian to dream up terrorism scenarios to prepare the government for nightmares they couldn’t imagine. Now one of those schemes has come true, and Ian is the only person alive who knows how it was done…and who is behind the plot. That makes him too dangerous to live.

Ian goes on the run, sweeping up an innocent bystander in his plight—Margo French, a dog walker and aspiring singer. They are pursued by assassins and an all-seeing global-intelligence network that won’t stop until Ian and Margo are dead. Ian has written thrillers like this before, but this time he doesn’t know how it’s going to end—or if he will be alive to find out.

I can’t wait to read this new book by Juliet Blackwell. Granted I know I’m behind on this series but it’s such a great one that I’m sure I can get caught up in no time. This is the ninth book in her Witchcraft Series.

Witch and vintage store owner Lily Ivory faces her most difficult mystery to date with a case of mistaken identity that hits close to home…

Lily Ivory and her friends are planning a 1950s-themed brunch to benefit the local women’s shelter. When a figure from her past shows up unannounced, threatening her unless she returns something that belonged to him, Lily’s fiancé, Sailor, steps in to defend her. After the same man is found dead later that day, Sailor is the primary suspect. He swears he’s innocent, but multiple witnesses ID him as the perpetrator of the assault. Lily vows to clear his name…only she’s not sure where to start with the mounting evidence against him.

When she sees Sailor in the neighborhood despite knowing he’s in jail, Lily starts to wonder if there could be a doppelganger in San Francisco. When she’s not busy helping customers find matching outfits for the upcoming event, searching for a vintage wedding dress for her own nuptials, and dealing with an ill-timed magical cold, Lily begins to suspect one of her magical foes is targeting her loved ones in an attempt to weaken her.

The fifth book in the Spells and Caramels series. It’s such a great series. I am almost caught up in this series to be able to read this latest one. I can’t wait to read it as it sounds amazing. Keep writing Erin Johnson.

The big day has finally arrived, and Imogen, Iggy and the bakers head to the Fire Kingdom for Hank and Shaday’s wedding. Imogen is totally fine with it—or so she keeps telling herself.

Even the murder of a famous wedding guest can’t stop the impending nuptials. So when Imogen’s repressed feelings magically ruin her baking and she’s banned from the kitchen, she sets herself to finding the killer.

Her search leads her through the desert kingdom’s bustling marketplaces and the maze-like riad, to discover underground movements, shady characters, and more secrets about the people around her than she thought possible. Could the killer be the clever journalist or the rebellious palace maid? Perhaps it’s a member of the royal family.

With the Fire Kingdom’s people churning for change, a mysterious artifact missing from the museum, and a dastardly plot brewing, Imogen begins to feel the heat. When Horace contacts her and makes her a tempting offer, she struggles to choose between him and her new friends.

Imogen’s choice will have enormous consequences over a deadly plot that threatens the people she loves. Will she stop a killer and find a happy ending in the process? Or will an ancient legend come to life and destroy them all?

I have always liked Deanna Chase’s books and this one does sound like another really great one by her. This is the second book in Ms. Chase’s Witch Island Brides series.

In the second book of the Carve the Mark duology, globally bestselling Divergent author Veronica Roth reveals how Cyra and Akos fulfill their fates. The Fates Divide is a richly imagined tale of hope and resilience told in four stunning perspectives.

Fate brought them together. Now it will divide them.

The lives of Cyra Noavek and Akos Kereseth are ruled by their fates, spoken by the oracles at their births. The fates, once determined, are inescapable.

Akos is in love with Cyra, in spite of his fate: He will die in service to Cyra’s family. And when Cyra’s father, Lazmet Noavek—a soulless tyrant, thought to be dead—reclaims the Shotet throne, Akos believes his end is closer than ever.

As Lazmet ignites a barbaric war, Cyra and Akos are desperate to stop him at any cost. For Cyra, that could mean taking the life of the man who may—or may not—be her father. For Akos, it could mean giving his own. In a stunning twist, the two will discover how fate defines their lives in ways most unexpected.

Madame Tulip is the third in a series of thrilling and hilarious Tulip adventures in which Derry O’Donnell, celebrity fortune-teller and reluctant amateur detective, plays the most exciting and perilous roles of her acting life, drinks borage tea, and fails to understand her parents.

I have read most of Melissa de la Cruz’s books and this new series Alex & Eliza Story sounds good. I can’t believe this second book is coming out.

As the war for American Independence carries on, two newlyweds are settling into their new adventure: marriage. But the honeymoon’s over, and Alexander Hamilton and Eliza Schuyler are learning firsthand just how tricky wedded life can be. Alex is still General George Washington’s right-hand man and his attention these days is nothing if not divided–much like the colonies’ interests as the end of the Revolution draws near. Alex & Eliza’s relationship is tested further by lingering jealousies and family drama.

This is one of the author/series that our guest reviewer (a.k.a. my mom) reads. She grew up in the area (Mendocino County) that this series is written in and feels a little nostalgic when reading them. This is your classic cozy mystery, so if you are a fan you should check it out the fourth book in this Kelly Jackson Mystery Series.

Murder at Redwood Cove Review

There’s a corpse among the chanterelles!

Redwood Cove Bed and Breakfast manager Kelly Jackson is hosting a cooking class during the Week of the Mushroom festival to attract guests, not drama. But soon after she finishes foraging for an edible mushroom species on sacred Native American land, a local newspaper reporter gets shot dead at the same site. With suspicions spreading like fungi in the quaint Northern Californian community over the culprit’s identity, Kelly and a savvy gang of sleuthing seniors known as the “Silver Sentinels” must uncover the truth about the secluded property before a tricky killer prepares an other lethal surprise . . .

This is a book that I missed in the March New Releases.

I have read H.P. Mallory’s Jolie Wilkins Series and her spin-off Bryn & Sinjin series. However, our guest reviewer has been reading this series and she feels that this is her favorite of the H.P. Mallory series. I have to disagree though, seriously Sinjin is the absolute best character ever.

BROWN EYED GHOUL is the third book in the Peyton Clark Paranormal Romance series. The first book is GHOULS RUSH IN.

About Brown Eyed Ghoul:

The last thing Peyton Clark wants to do is visit the evil voodoo witch, Guarda, again. But once she promises two elderly and kind ladies that she will solve the missing-person case of their long dead relative, she realizes there’s no way around it.

With the help of Guarda’s magic, Peyton will find herself in 1910 New York with none other than Drake Montague, the twentieth century policeman, who used to haunt her house but now haunts her body… and her heart.

While Drake and Peyton begin to unravel the mystery, Peyton can’t help the fact that she’s deeply attracted to Drake, regardless of the fact that her very real boyfriend, Ryan, is back in her own time, eagerly awaiting her return.
