My Rating:
My Thoughts:
Wow, Jill Wagner and Kristoffer Polaha are at it again in another Mystery 101 movie. I do have to say that I love this series as it’s a lot of fun to watch and try to solve the murder with them. These two are the perfect duo for this type of mystery movie. Each movie has a wonderful puzzle that keeps me trying to figure it out with them.
Jill Wagner plays Professor Amy Winslow. Amy is even more invested solve this murder so that she can save her father from going to jail. If that isn’t a great motivator to solve this, then I don’t know what is. She uses a murder board! I love those since it’s so easy to follow and think with them about what motive each suspect had. This one we had a lot of red herrings but only one is the killer. One of the many things that I love about this movie is that they were talking about POV (point of view) for a crime novel and it was interesting to hear Detective Travis’ response to that.
Kristoffer Polaha plays Detective Travis, and I love how he follows the evidence even if that evidence goes where he doesn’t want it to go. For Detective Travis, this was probably a hard case to solve and put away Amy’s father since he came to like her father as well. Travis is a good guy though and didn’t mind having Amy. Although, sometimes, Amy’s assistance makes his job hard to do. Thank goodness, they were able to catch the killer with following the evidence and seeing where it all went.
I still can’t believe with the person that did it and why. That is the most significant motive anyone can have. Mystery 101: Words Can Kill is a fantastic movie that had not one murder but TWO murders, and they were both easy to solve once you follow the clues that Amy and Travis uncovered.
