Jules and Lance once flipped a property but broke up in the process. Now each owns half a duplex and they start a flipping contest. Word of the “dueling duplexes” reaches the editor of Innovative Designs, who offers the winner a magazine spread. But when a storm kills the power, and Lance and Jules work by candlelight, their romance rekindles, only to get snuffed out when Lance hires a painting crew without consulting Jules. Confused, Lance gets fatherly advice, while Jules consults her mom about releasing resentments. Hopefully while renovating their duplex, these two can flip their romance as well.
My Rating:
My Thoughts:
Julie Gonzalo and Tyler Haines are the cutest couple ever. Okay so technically they aren’t a couple in real life but in this movie they are.
Jules is an upcoming flipper and designer that is trying to get going in this little community with her new business. Sure they know her from her mom’s flower shop, but that’s it. She is a pretty fun character and I love how she is not happy and takes no prisoners when she wants to do to get a job done. Jules and Lance are both stubborn, and that doesn’t bode well for them both as they try to get through this wager that turns into a contest on the internet.
Lance is a contractor and flipper that is taking over his father’s company. His stake in trying to do well on this flip so that the people in town to see his work and hire him for that and not because of them being loyal clients of his father’s. He is different than Jules, in style, design and that is what makes the two of them so great. Their chemistry together is fantastic especially when they are disagreeing. I so loved the looks on their faces.
In the end, it all works out for them. There were lots of kisses as well. I enjoyed this movie so much, from the home repairs, flowers, to reuniting their romance.
