August is the Oceanic Dreams month and I am featuring the eight romantic comedy writers. 

Our sixth author is Delancey Stewart.

Delancey Stewart’s Oceanic Dreams book, Take a Chance on Me is the first book that I have read of hers. I love a second-chance at love romance and this one is superb.

This new Oceanic Dreams series is about finding love on the Oceanic Aphrodite cruise ship or so the legend goes. Two more books to go.

Now let’s see how Delancey answers my questions.

Tell us a little about yourself? Perhaps something not many people know?

I used to be a ballet dancer!

What book are you currently reading?

A few: The Villa by Nora Roberts; The Alice Network by Kate Quinn; and The Truth as Told by Mason Buttle (with my kids) by Leslie Connor

Who is your favorite superhero?

Green Arrow, only when played by Stephen Amell. 

Where is one place you want to visit that you haven’t been before (real or imaginary)?

The Greek Isles

Are you a better baker or cook or take out connoisseur?

Cook

Which do you prefer?

Tea or coffee: Coffee in the morning, tea at night

Hot or cold: hot unless laden with milk and calories

Movie or book: both

Coke or Pepsi: COKE

What do you love most about your writing process?

That I have one

Do you like music or silence?

Must be silent!

Do your characters seem to hijack the story or do you feel like you have the reigns of the story?

They do things I don’t expect, but only because I let them. 

What is knocks you off your writing game?

Hitting the 20k sag, which happens with every book. I write through it and pick up steam again. Always works out fine. 

Is anything in your book based on real-life experiences or purely all imagination?

There’s always a bit of me and my life in there. 

What genres do you write?

Contemporary Romance, RomCom, and Chick lit as Delancey Stewart; Clean romance as DL Stewart; Urban Fantasy as a completely secret pen name!

What project are you working on now?

A duet coming out this summer.
