CHRISTMAS AT GRACELAND
Network: Hallmark
Stars: Kellie Pickler and Wes Brown
Laurel (Pickler), a Chicago-based business executive travels to Memphis to secure one of the city’s oldest family-owned banks. While in Memphis, Laurel reunites with old flame Clay (Brown), a local music promoter with loftier aspirations.
Though Laurel tries to keep her eye on the prize of the business acquisition, Clay is very persuasive reminding her of the days when they were a performing duo on the brink of stardom. Now Laurel’s focus turns to the home of the Blues and dreams of making music again.

My Thoughts:
I thought the movie was well thought out, and I liked the story. The premise of living in the big city (Chicago) and wanting to return to your hometown was easy to follow. The actors were convincing, and I enjoyed the chemistry between Kellie Pickler and Wes Brown. Also, Claire Elizabeth Green as Emma was genuinely sweet and her on-screen relationship with Pickler and Brown was believeable.
Things that I adored:
- Sally, Ted, and Madison. They supported Laurel and Emma throughout the film.
- Sally – the Christmas crafts queen, really kept those girls busy. I remember doing things like that with my mom. She still has some of them.
- The Guest House at Graceland was so beautiful. I think it just hit my bucket list.
- Ms. Kathy the concierge at the Guest House at Graceland was terrific. Seriously, do they have someone like her? She was perfect.
- Franklin, the bank owner in Memphis. What a magnificent boss. Who wouldn’t want to work for him?
- The music was pretty good too.
Christmas at Graceland is really great, and I look forward to watching it again next year. Have I mentioned that I love those second chance romances?
