Rose Hathaway's life will never be the same.
The recent attack on St. Vladimir's Academy devastated the entire Moroi world. Many are dead. And, for the few victims carried off by Strigoi, their fates are even worse. A rare tattoo now adorns Rose's neck, a mark that says she's killed far too many Strigoi to count. But only one victim matters ... Dimitri Belikov. Rose must now choose one of two very different paths: honoring her life's vow to protect Lissa—her best friend and the last surviving Dragomir princess—or, dropping out of the Academy to strike out on her own and hunt down the man she loves. She'll have to go to the ends of the earth to find Dimitri and keep the promise he begged her to make. But the question is, when the time comes, will he want to be saved?
Now, with everything at stake—and worlds away from St. Vladimir's and her unguarded, vulnerable, and newly rebellious best friend—can Rose find the strength to destroy Dimitri? Or, will she sacrifice herself for a chance at eternal love?

I read Blood Promise by Richelle Mead this book in one day. Okay two days. I started this book on the twentieth of May and finished it on the twenty-first of May. I so didn’t want to put my kindle down because this book was soooo good. I ended up dreaming of the book on the twentieth. I felt bad for Rose when she found Dimitri’s family. I was a little bit confused about the Alchemist part but it kind of started to make sense to me.

I was pretty shocked when the principal or headmistress, or whatever you want to call her, stepped down and let a new person step in, thanks to the Queen’s recommendation with his daughter, son and daughter’s guardian in tow. I kind of knew a little bit that the daughter was bad news just didn’t know how bad until toward the end of the book. All I gotta say is poor Lissa and Christian who’s relationship ended because of the new headmaster’s daughter torn them apart.

But at the end of the book I’m happy that she goes back to the school. It’s there that we find out about who this mysterious “Abe” person really is. Another BIG SPOILER ALERT!! I would have never ever thought that Abe would be Rose’s father at all!! I mean that was just a huge shocker to me.

But yes another great book from the Vampire Academy series. I can’t believe that I only have two books left until the end. I so don’t want this series to end.

This Review was previously posted on my blogspot site which I will be closing soon.
