The library, housed in a a Victorian mansion, is slated to be bulldozed. Still digesting the news that her safe haven is about to become scrap lumber, Josie discovers a body in the woods . . .
Almost as shocking, Josie learns that she’s descended from a long line of witches—and her powers have suddenly sprung to life. With help from a spoiled alley cat who just may be her familiar, Josie’s thumbing through a catalog of suspects, hoping she can conjure a way to save her library—and her life. . .
Bait and Witch by Angela M. Sanders is a fantastic first book for a wonderful new series about witches and books.
Can Josie figure out who killed a woman the night she arrived?
Josephine “Josie” Way
Josie Way is the main character and the point of view character. She is a librarian trying to do what she needs to do. Well, that is until she gets to Wilfred, Oregon. Josie is trying to figure out a way to solve this mystery while not letting out what she was really doing. She is a great character, and I love everything about this book. I love how she finds out about her magic. It’s a great read.
The Mystery
The mystery is about a young city woman found dead near the library but no one knowing why she was there. Josie thinks it has something to do with her, but really it wasn’t. I was shocked by who did it, and I loved the hints about everything. The other case that was going on is about the reason why Josie is there. I liked how each of the cases is interconnected in some way to what was happening in town. The dead woman is a great way to put the FBI there to help the murderer and make sure that no one cares about what happens to the person who did it.
Five Stars
Bait and Witch by Angela M. Sanders is an outstanding book, and I loved reading it. Ms. Sanders is a great author, and I loved her different way of doing witches, especially for a cozy. Josie is a wonderful character, and I can’t wait to see what happens in the next installment. Everything about this book is fabulous.
