In this dazzling finale to the trilogy that began with the New York Times bestselling Alex & Eliza: A Love Story, the curtain closes on the epic romance of Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler
1785. New York, New York.
As a young nation begins to take shape, Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler are on top of the world. They’re the toast of the town, keeping New York City buzzing with tales of their lavish parties, of Eliza’s legendary wit, and of Alex’s brilliant legal mind.
But new additions to Alex & Eliza’s little family mean change is afoot in the Hamilton household. When they agree to take in an orphaned teenage girl along with Eliza’s oldest brother, John Schuyler, Eliza can’t help but attempt a match. It’s not long before sparks start to fly…if only Eliza can keep herself from interfering too much in the course of true love. After all, she and Alex have an arrival of their own to plan for, though Alex’s latest case brings a perilous threat that may destroy everything.
The sweeping love story of Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler comes to a close in All for One, the riveting final installment of the New York Times bestselling Alex & Eliza trilogy.
All for One by Melissa de la Cruz is the last book in the trilogy of Alexander Hamilton and Elizabeth Schuyler Hamilton’s love story.
Can Eliza stop meddling in the love lives of her brother and ward?
Elizabeth Schyuler Hamilton
Eliza has been happily married to Alex for five years by this point and hasn’t been with child yet. Except that she soon realizes she is when she takes in her brother (John), an orphan teenage girl, and a footman into their household, she is carrying their eldest child. I must say that Eliza is quite bold in this story, trying to play matchmaker for four people. The biggest reason is that she’s far too engrossed in her thoughts about trying to improve two of them that she doesn’t realize her matchmaking schemes aren’t entirely working. I must say that she tried her best, and as a mother-to-be, she wants what is best for everyone, even if she doesn’t realize how misguided her intentions are.
Eliza is a wonderful character despite not realizing how her pregnancy affected her thoughts on her matchmaking schemes.
Alexander Hamilton
Alex is still trying to get his law practice up and running. By that, he means producing enough income to keep his wife happy. He is a good man, even if he does end up straying from his marriage and being somewhat foolish. He is slightly flawed in some of his viewpoints, not only about himself but also about his life with Eliza, until he realizes that he could lose it all.
Four Stars
My rating for All for One by Melissa de la Cruz is four stars, and I do recommend this story. I love how Ms. Cruz incorporates these three books, based on what she found out about this couple, but some of it is, in fact, fiction. Ms. Cruz is a delightful author, and she spun their love story into a way that is quite funny, even if she ended up changing a few things to best suit the plot that she wanted to tell with the two of them.
