Can Mabel and her phantom camper companion solve the case?
Mabel Gold
Mabel Gold is our sleuth and point of view character. She moved to Florida from New York to escape her ex-husband and his new bimbo. I didn’t mesh well with Mabel, but I do think that she is a good character.
The Mystery
Mabel gets told by her phantom camper companion that the companion needs Mabel’s help in getting out of purgatory. She is also the only one who can see the ghost anyway. Mabel tries her best to solve this crime, especially if it’s connected to her ex-husband, just so that he doesn’t end up leaving them all (their shared kids) in the dust.
I was a bit conflicted on who did it in this one.
Three Stars
My review for Wheeler-Dealer by Rita Moreau is three stars. I think the story still needs to go through some editing phases, as I got lost in some parts. Other than that, I liked the book as I think it has some good qualities to it. Ms. Moreau did a good job.
Ms. Moreau has some recipes at the back of the book. The recipes are Kahlua Cake, Linguine with Tomatoes, Feta, Olives, and Lemon, Indya’s Maw Maw Peach Cobbler, Indya’s Maw Maw Squash Casserole, and Cinnamon Coffee Cake.

A workaholic by nature, upon retirement, Rita Moreau began to work on her bucket list, writing a book. Rita lives in a postcard called Florida where George, the love of her life, always had fun telling everyone he’s the author’s husband. He was her lightning rod. Rita lost George in December 2021. She honors his memory daily. He lived life to the fullest.
