My Rating:
My Thoughts:
Jen Lilley plays Maddie, who was a Navy brat growing up. Because of that, she has made it a rule for herself not to fall for anyone in any military branch. Maddie is a talented and stubborn character, and I love how she is so into Christmas. Not only that, but she is also into her career and wanting to do a little something different. I love that she finds a story to cover on the ship that she is interested in writing an article about. It’s so cool that it turns into a mystery of sorts.
Trevor Donovan plays Billy Jenkins, who is a Navy brat too. In fact, his father and Maddie’s father served together. Now Billy is in the Navy himself as a Lieutenant. Billy isn’t into Christmas, but I like how his character develops in the story. He is a fabulous character. Trevor Donovan and Jen Lilley have great chemistry together. They make a lovely couple.
I loved everything in this movie. I liked that they used an actual Navy ship for some scenes on the tiger cruise. Well, a decommissioned Navy ship, but it is still great. I loved the other locations that they used in this movie. Overall, this is one of my favorite movies this season.
