The Baroness’ Choices for Upcoming Releases for May 2021
Hello!
How’s your April going? Mine has been filled with lots of showers (mostly snow) and glimpses of what spring might look like when it finally decides to stick around. I have read some good books, hung out with a friend. We played dominos and card games. It was pretty fun. I have to say that I have enjoyed April. However, I am completely looking forward to May with its sunshine (I hope) and all the amazing books coming out.
The Books
My choices for May include many mysteries, including cozy mysteries, paranormal cozies, culinary cozies, historical, and thrillers. Then I have young adult, fantasy, and a couple of romances. There are so many good books; these are the ones that I found that sound amazing. I am looking forward to reading most of them. Well, me or my mom. So, look for our reviews and some I will be spotlighting throughout the month.
Also, there are a lot of cozy mysteries with donuts this month. So, either the winter was filled with donuts and someone forgot to tell me or mystery writers are tired of donuts. I think I might stay away from the donut shop for a while longer.
A special note to anyone that follows Harlequin romances. There won’t be any books out this month for these series: Desire, Romantic Suspense, Romance, Heartwarming, and Love Inspired Suspense. Click HERE to learn more.
So, without further ado…here are my choices for Upcoming Releases for May 2020. (insert drum roll here)

And so, Nina decides to tap into the destination wedding market by taking a booth at the Veils and Vanities Bridal Expo. The twice-yearly event is sponsored by the town’s two wedding pros: Virgie Hamilton, the sixtysomething owner of Virgie’s Formals, and Roxanna Quarry, a Gen X event planner and Nina’s new friend. But everything goes wrong during the expo’s fashion show, when Roxanna comes tumbling out of an oversized prop wedding cake, strangled to death by her own scarf.

Meanwhile, the situation grows tense with her sometimes nemesis and current tenant, the dashing out-of-work actor Harry Westcott. Harry is concentrating on plugging his most recent side hustle …but he’s not too busy to break the news to Nina that her ex-husband is engaged to be married again.
Certain that Virgie’s only offense is a bad temper, Nina decides to do her own investigating. First, however, she and Harry retrieve Roxanna’s now ownerless dog, planning to foster him until a new home can be found. But local gossip soon convinces Nina that others beside Virgie might have had reason to murder Roxanna. As Nina gets close to the truth, she’s putting her own life at danger.
