After inheriting a luxury apartment in New York, Rosie and her husband Chad move in and find the neighbors aren’t as they seem. The Wyndamere building attracts artists of all types. However, it is costly to live in, so not everyone can afford it.

Our main character is Rosie, who is an author. She is our point of view. The thing about Rosie is she has a connection to the supernatural. Yet, she can’t seem to believe her inner voice. Chad and Rosie are trying for a baby and are looking to attain the stars they are both striving for. Chad is an actor who seems to have gotten his big role, the one that will be his breakout. But can they make it through everything?

I like Rosie. She has grown so much throughout this story. Rosie is stronger than she knows, yet she still seems a bit naive.

The Wyndamere

The story is set at the Wyndamere in New York City. The building has a history of violent deaths and crazed occupants. Everyone is connected in a strange way, yet the building is also a character. I love how the author brought life to the old building; even at the end of this story, the Wyndamere is thriving.

Five Stars

My rating for The New Couple in 5B by Lisa Unger is five stars. I was literally on the edge of my seat for most of the story, and I am so glad Ms. Unger gave us a happy ending. If you like thrillers with a touch of the supernatural, then I highly recommend The New Couple in 5B.
